Alex and Henry's love story

Alex's birthday weekend Part two:

The dogs sit in the back with my mom and Luke. Henry reads his book, mom asleep resting her head on Luke's shoulder.
"Look kid, I know you may not like me but I really like your mom and I really see something with her. I really hope you and June can give me a chance" I look at him from the mirror "I never said I didn't like you, I just don't know how your like I don't want to deal with someone who doesn't like me" he nods "I understand that, but I have nothing against you or June. I find you guys amazing, and you too have amazing partners by your side but I want you both to give me a chance to with your mom" I nod.
"You have our green light" he smiles.
"Thank you, I would never have nothing against you both" I nod, Henry holds my hand
I smile. He turns to look at me and smiles.
"How was your relationship for your guys?"
Henry closes his book "uh well we had to hide it from everyone because of my grandfather and then yeah here we are" I kiss his hand.
"Why did you guys have to hide your relationship?" He asks "well we were both public figures and it wouldn't go well if Alex were to run for president" he nods, "but you're running for president correct?" I nod "yeah but he thought he would take my dream away and he was just scared" "wow that seems like a lot for you guys am so sorry" Henry smiles "well here we are together, without a care of what people say" I smile, Luke nods.
Everyone goes silent the only thing you hear is the very low music playing, Henry had fallen asleep, and so did mom. It's just Luke and I
My eyes stay on the road, "your mom told me your wedding is coming up" I nod, "yeah it is" he smiles "and how is that going?" He asks "uh well it's a bit stressful you know everyone asking this and that but I think will be worth it" he nods. "Are you excited" I shot a little glance at Henry and smile "I am. We been through a lot and finally getting our little happy ending is something I always wanted" I say "you guys deserve it, and June is she engaged or" I shake my head "not that I know of" he nods "you have a best man" he asks, "yeah I do" mom seems to wake up. "Well look at you boys" she smiles "well hey ma" "is Henry asleep" I nod,
"he is one sleepy head when it comes to long drives" she laughs.

We get to the mountains, we all park next to each other. "Is Henry asleep" Beatrice asks I nod, she try's to wake him but I stop her.
"Let me" she nods, I rub his cheek "hey you, come instructor we're here. Let's go" Henry smiles I put the dogs on their leash's "okay, is everyone ready" he asks "no but let's go" June grabs Toby's leash, I grab the backpack with the waters and stuff Henry packed. And we begin our hike, we follow the trail that should lead us to the river.
"Where's Henry?" I ask "with Sofia in the back" I turn around, "come here" "am sorry"
I wrap my arm around his shoulder. "How long is this going to take" Henry shrugs "ask him he knows" "I don't know" she sighs,
"You should've remember how much June hates hiking" I whisper "right. But there is things I hate that you love and we still do it, they can push all that aside for a day" I smirk "you hate things that I don't" he nods "like what" I ask "uh well let's see party's, hmm that one time you took me somewhere I absolutely hated it but made you happy so I sucked it up" I laugh "sweetheart you could've just told me - and see that smile disappear no thank you, as much as you like to see me happy I love to see you happy" I kiss his temple, "your awesome do you know that" Henry grins "of course I did" I roll my eyes.
After a while I carry Toby, and Mark carried David.
*let's skip the boring walk*
They dogs hear water and get excited I drop Toby and grab on his leash he jumps right in,
So does David. "Alright, alright" we set our things down everyone jumps right in,
"I guess it's worth it" June says "no am kidding, this is cute" Henry smiles.
"And this water feel so good"
