Rights to Rick Riordan for the character of Annabeth Chase. Ally Saven, Micheal, and Alex are all my OCs though.
When Ally woke up, she sat up in bed. She yawned and stretched her arms a bit. She got up out of bed, yawning again. She made her bed, making sure it was neat for cabin inspections. Annabeth had to leave the next day because she lived in an apartment with Percy in New Rome. And since Ally was no longer dependent on Annabeth, she was going back.
She pulled up her duvet, which was yellow and decorated with owls. Ally loved owls. It was her mother's sacred animal, but she also just loved it. The way they adapted to their environment was by seeing in the dark and being able to turn their heads 270 degrees.
Anyway, she pulled up her duvet, putting her owl plush on top, so it looked all nice and neat. She walked over to her bedside dresser and pulled out her drawers. She pulled out an orange Camp Half-Blood shirt and denim shorts.
She wore the same thing every day. Not the same clothes, just different sets of camp T-shirts and denim shorts. She wasn't wearing dirty clothes. Ew.
Ally grabs a hair tie from her dresser and puts her hair up in a ponytail. She always puts her hair up in a ponytail, every single day. She just liked looking the same.
Ally then took her necklace from her dresser and put it on. At Camp Half-Blood, everybody got a necklace once they came to camp and a new bead for every year they spent at camp. Ally's necklace has 7 beads since she's been at camp since she was a baby.
Ally had some time before breakfast in the dining pavilion. So she sits down on her bed and opens her bottom drawer. She pulls out a folded piece of paper and opens it. It was the letter her mom left with her as a baby. Ally had always wondered about her father. Jacob Saven. What was he like? Was he kind? Was he strict and stoic? She didn't know.
And she might never know. Athena didn't like to talk to her kids, much less about their fathers. Apparently, especially Ally's father. Ally didn't know why. Athena clearly loved her dad, if she was here. So why wouldn't she talk about him?
Ally sighs and folds the letter up again, putting it back in her bottom drawer. She stands up and walks out of the Athena cabin.
Ally steps out into the sunlight, blinking a bit and putting her hand up to shield her eyes from the brightness. She yawns again and walks over to the dining pavilion. She sits down at the Athena table. The wind nymphs bring her a breakfast of grapes, apple slices, and a turkey and cheese sandwich.
Ally wasn't feeling that hungry that particular morning. So, when it was the Athena cabin's turn to sacrifice part of their meal, she sacrificed half of her sandwich and all her apple slices. She sat down and started eating.
Sure, it was her birthday. But to Ally, it was just another day at Camp, full of training and chores. Suddenly, Annabeth sat down next to her.
"Hey, Ally," Annabeth said with a smile. "Happy birthday."
"Yeah, thanks," Ally said. She wasn't trying to sound ungrateful, she just didn't care much about her birthday.
"Wow, don't you just sound like a ray of sunshine," Annabeth said sarcastically.
"Sorry," Ally said shyly, looking up. "I just don't really care about my birthday. It's just another day. It's nothing special."
Annabeth sighs. "Well, this is a very special birthday. It's your 7th birthday. You know I got to Camp Half-Blood when I was 7, right?"
Ally looked up at Annabeth, not knowing where she was going with this. "Uh, yeah?..."
Annabeth smiles at Ally. She turns and pulls something out of her bag. It was a sheath. From the dimensions of it, it looked to be a dagger sheath, Ally's preferred weapon. The sheath was made of leather, and engraved with several owls. Some on tree branches, some flying. Ally looked at Annabeth in awe.
