Sitting alone in an empty, large room was a young angelic woman. Patiently awaiting for something as she sat. This woman appeared to be in complete distress and sadness, twiddling her fingers as she waited ever so long.
Just then, the room glowed a bright white before a small cloud spawned before her very bright blue eyes.
With the formation of a heavenly portal, the young woman quickly stood up and eagerly prepared for the person she was expecting.
Out from the portal stepped out (Y/n). His walk and steps weak and heavy as he sluggishly closed the portal behind him. His face was unmoving, still and defeated. Even upon seeing the young Seraphim before him, his expression remained stoic and somber.
(Y/n): "Hello Emily."
Without another second, the young Seraphim woman rushed into (Y/n). Whimpering into his chest, with her arms wrapping firmly around him, she let out a heavy and muffled cry.
Emily: "(Y/n)! I'm so sorry! I heard about what happened..."
Her voice, which was originally so spritely and cheerful was now a shambled mess. Truly distraught and devastated by the recent news of (Y/n)'s sister, Meredith, passing.
Yet (Y/n) remained unfazed. His expression was like stone. Like every single emotion was striped away roughly from his soul.
Emily: "She was so nice to me... I'm just... I cannot believe it..."
(Y/n): "Do you know how it happened?"
Separating herself from (Y/n), Emily took a second to wipe away her tears that streamed her eyeliner down her cheeks. Taking another second to catch her breath and collect herself, she took ahold of (Y/n)'s hands before answering. Another means of comforting him during this terrible time.
Emily: "No... I asked Sera so many times to let me know but she insisted that it wasn't my business..."
(Y/n): "I see..."
Emily: "(Y/n)..."
Not evening mentally aware enough to give her a reaction to her words, (Y/n) simply darted his eyes down at Emily. This in turn made Emily feel even more awful. Knowing that this Agent of God who was always so friendly with her is now a husk of a soul. Emily knew that his silence and lack of words spoke volumes.
Emily: "The funeral... I told Sera that I would oversee it... But..."
Placing her soft and small hand on (Y/n)'s chest, Emily once more pressed her head against him. Gathering the strength to reveal this new information was seeming impossible to Emily. Yet, (Y/n) was someone she always held highly. But could she bring it upon herself to even tell him how his sister was found?
He deserved to know.
Emily: "Meredith... She's going to be hard to look at when you see her..."
