Chapter 5 - Let's go
Rainbow Dash's pov:

After school ended everything seemed to go back to normal. I was going to meet up with Soarin so I told Applejack I didn't need a ride home like usual. "Hey Soarin we still gonna meet?" I asked while walking towards him.

"Yeah, actually I was thinking wanna go to my house instead of practicing today? Hurt my ankle a bit." He replied while walking up to see me. We hugged cause I barely see him during school. I only see him during soccer practice since he is a grade above.

"Also I heard a certain Lightning Dust is here, and she's gonna be using the field right now." He said while whispering in my ear. I stepped out of the hug and nodded. I was not trying to see Lightning Dust right now. After what happened with me and AJ. At first I thought Applejack was just homophobic, but I figured she just doesn't want me to get close with Lightning Dust because she doesn't want to lose me. Since me and AJ are best friends and all. She will always be number one.

We walked towards his car and we got in.
Driving to his house I just looked out the window till we got there. I stepped out of the car and into the driveway of his house. We walked in to the two story building. "Hi Mrs Sunny!" I said while walking up to Soarins mom.

"Well good afternoon to you Rainbow Dash! Tell your mother I said hello. Our family should get together more often." She replied while reaching out to give me a small hug. I let go and nodded as me and Soarin walked up his stairs. We entered the bedroom and all I could think about was Applejack. "Hey you good?" Soarin asked me while setting up his game controller. I nodded and sighed.

"Yeah just thinking. Thanks for telling me someone was gonna use the field." I replied while sitting on his bed near his gaming chair.

"Figured you wouldn't wanna practice while Lighting Dust was there. That girl is a problem." Soarin said while sitting down in his gaming chair. He sat there until he spinned around to talk to me face to face.

"Tell me about it." I replied in a sarcastic tone. "You know today during lunch she asked me for my number? Super weird right? She called me cute in front of all my friends." I said trying to forget the scene.

"What's wrong with that?" Soarin asked while turning back to grab his controller. He then reached for the other one and passed it to me.

"I don't know I just think she asked me for my number because of a certain reason, like she wanted me?" I replied out of embarrassment.

"Well? That's nice of her if she likes you. I don't get the problem." Soarin said while playing his games.

"It's just she's more into me than I am into her! The problem is, well.." I said waiting for his response.

"Well what's the problem? Do you like someone else?" Soarin asked while still trying to win his game while repeatedly pressing buttons on his controller.

"Yes and it's Applejack, I can't like her. First she's a girl and second she's my bestfriend." I said. It felt like I spilled everything. So many secrets held up just slowly we're going to be poured out from here.

"Well good for you Rainbow, you found a girl you like and deserve. Bad for you, you lost at the game." He said after grinning. I looked up at his game set and I got fourth place in the car racing game and he got first.

"Well no fair I wasn't paying attention!" I replied while crossing my arms. "You snooze you loose!" He replied. He then laughed at me and I just sat there feeling hopeless.

"Wait Rainbow who's calling you?" Soarin asked me. I heard a buzzing noise and checked my pockets. I then looked and it was Pinkie. Nothing out of the ordinary I thought. "Should I awnser it?" "Why not." We both looked at eachother as I awnsered the call. Suddenly a loud high pitched voice took a hold of my ears.
