"izuku midoriya..?" katsuki questions eyes wide.
"yeah you know the one who stopped All For One." detective tsukauchi states.
(this AU deku dies but saves japan from AFO :) )
"Izuku..died..All For One killed him.."
"I see.." tsukauchi writes something down.
"thank you Bakugo, you are free to go."
katsuki nods and leaves tsukauchi's private office leaving the police station.
"izuku..I'm sorry I couldn't save you.. I'm a coward."
then he feels a sudden warm aura knowing it was izuku telling him its okay.
the second katsuki gets home he sees his auntie inkos car knowing shes here. he feels guilty but can't do anything.
Izuku's funeral is tomorrow and class 1A, some of 1B, inko, and the bakugo's are going, along with the UA staff.
here's the thing katsuki isn't ready to say goodbye to his first friend. the Damn nerd who never stopped mumbling even in UA. The same one who forgave katsuki for everything he ever did. the same one who saved katsuki's life when he needed it. The same damn nerd who never had a quirk but was somehow being chased after by katsuki.
katsuki hadn't realized but he zoned out and zone back when his father hugs him while katsuki sobs into his shoulder.
"dad.. I cant watch him be buried.." katsuki mumbles.
"I know bud its gonna be hard." marsaru continues to hold his son his his gentle yet strong embrace.
the next day katsuki ends up at izukus funeral. he wanted to cry but couldn't let his wall down infront of his classmates and rivals.
the next thing he knows Mr. aizawa is hugging him. "I only knew him for a school year...yet he was the most problematic child I had ever taught. you knew him for as long as you could remember. I'm sorry for your loss Bakugo." Aizawa mumbles.
"katsuki wanna give a speech?" auntie inko asks.
Katsuki only nods and goes to the front of the church.
"Izuku midoriya, many knew him as a friend, a peer, a student, a rival. I knew izuku as long as I can remember. He was always trying to keep up with me, yet I always felt like I had to keep up with him. he always made the best of every situation. with his bright life saving smile. he wasn't just anyone to me, He was my bestfriend, a greater hero than I'll ever be, even better than all might. Izuku forgave me for everything i ever did to him. he never held grudges, unless you count overhaul, and All for one, other than that he never did. izuku was never letting anyone see him down, he always brough light into every single room he entered. he saved many people, heck all of japan!"
"Izuku midoriya is the greatest hero ever to exsist."
katsuki wipes his eyes and moves back to his seat. everyone looking at him with determination and happiness.

katsuki is seated at Izuku's grave.
"hey izuku. today I got ranked up to #30 pro hero."
katsuki smiles, "you deserve the #1 spot always and forever though."
