"WHAT THE FFFFUCK DO YOU MEAN YOUR WEDDING?!" Mark couldn't believe his eyes. He stood there for a minute wondering if this was some kind of sick joke but as he took out more and more of the programs he realized how serious this actually was. As he reached the bottom of the box he found the ring he gave Crystal, beside a note: "By the time you get to this note I'll have left and already been on my way to Natalie's house. There's $3,000 on the card attached to this letter, please take it and find a new place. You have 6 days. Oh and don't show up at my wedding." He hadn't realized that in his search though the box of broken dreams Crystal had disappeared, and that in reality 2 hours had passed. How did she know that he would black out like that, that he would be so lost and in shock that he wouldn't realize she'd left ? There was a part of him that wanted to go to this Natalie's house and fuck shit up, but there was also a part of him that wanted Crystal to be happy. Mark was lost, he didn't know what to do next, so he did what any man would do: he called Ms.Sweet Lips.
Away at Natalie's house Crystal made herself at home with a glass of wine and a beautiful silk robe. They had been planning their escape; they'll have the ceremony, whoever stayed was their true family and friends, they'd honeymoon in Dubai, find a home somewhere far, far away and be happy with the lives they've made for each other.
"Baby, what if Uncle Ro doesn't show up, should we move Melissa to sit by Carlos?" Natalie was concerned about how Crystals family would take to such an extreme change in plans, they were prepared to see their successful ray of sunshine marry her high school sweetheart, but now she's soon to wed some random woman they've never met. Natalie had all right to be apprehensive, in fact she was scared shitless. From what she heard about Crystals family they were a force to be reckoned with, ex cons, retired military men, women in high places of power. Natalie was nervous, but not at all was she catching cold feet. She walked over to Crystal sitting so beautifully on the counter in her robe, hair tied up with a few flawless curls falling out of place, her glasses balancing perfectly on her nose, Natalie loved everything about this woman. They talked about the plans for their doomsday wedding as they drank red wine and laughed together. Crystal finally felt happy, she was able to be herself with Natalie, that's all she wanted out of her relationship with Mark. But since that's over she doesn't have to worry about the what ifs anymore, she can focus her energy in the future that she'll have with Natalie. Somewhere in her mind she knew that what was happening was wrong, but this feeling; finally being happy, was too good to pass up. She had to act soon before either of them changed their minds. Natalie was everything she wanted from Mark, plus the sex was amazing, so why not. What's the worse that could happen.
