21 Signs Never Been Noticed

When I think about it, several things make me think crazy thoughts like Poon might be a ghost who doesn't realize he's dead, or a soul that's left a comatose body like in the movies (if he really has to be a ghost, ugh~). Like, how he always seems to appear in the evenings or after sunset, and even how he likes to disappear before anyone else sees him, making it unclear if anyone else can see him.

Um, except for last night when it was a full moon, according to that fake shaman.

There's one more thing I missed badly. I've never had the chance to touch him even once.

Oh, why am I overthinking this? I don't want him to be a ghost. Just thinking that my assumptions earlier were just coincidences is enough.

Phew~ I exhaled, controlling myself as I slowly scrolled down to that news article, my heart pounding with anticipation. I'm determined to read it and find out what happened, whether I was really wrong or not.

Bang!

Suddenly, there was a bang in front of me, accompanied by something hitting the counter. I jumped in shock, dropping my phone to the floor. I quickly raised my hands in a defensive posture.

See, even though I'm scared of ghosts, I'll fight. I'm not a coward like that Poon guy

"Ah!" W-What was that? I was just thinking about ghosts! What's happening?

"Hey, I'm not here to rob you!" A familiar male voice sounded from above, causing me to slowly lower my guard. Then I saw the face of the person standing on the other side of the counter.

"Poon!" I finally let out a sigh of relief

"It's me. You're so easily startled, geez." He frowned, glancing down at himself before looking back up.

Poon? When did he get here? How did he enter so quietly that I didn't notice? He just popped up like a ghost.

I was just thinking about that a moment ago. What a coincidence.

"Hey, stop staring. What's wrong? Never seen a handsome guy like me before?" Poon said again.

"Uh, yeah." I was thinking about something else, so I just responded casually while still looking him over. He was wearing a simple orange short-sleeved shirt. He looked like a decent guy.

"You just admitted it! Are you falling for my charms? Don't, I'm scared," he said with a playful smile. Seeing that, I snapped out of my daze and tried to act normal.

"Scared?" I echoed.

"Well." he trailed off, his eyes darting around for a moment before he continued, "Actually, I'm not scared. What's there to be scared of? I'm not afraid of anything."

So, he's not afraid of me falling for him. W-Wait, this isn't the time to be thinking about that!

"I-I was staring because I was surprised to see you suddenly appear in my shop like this," I changed the subject to shake off those thoughts. But my mind drifted back to the ghost stories from earlier, and I found myself leaning forward to look outside the shop. "Especially when it's getting dark."

"I'm out of food. I'm hungry." Poon slapped his hand on the counter, drawing my attention back. I saw five packs of instant noodles, a carton of eggs, two packs of sausages, a bottle of juice, and a pack of bottled water.

So he's stocking up on food. But...

"Wait a minute. You bought a lot of food yesterday. How come you're out of it already?" I asked, confused. I paid for his food myself yesterday. He got robbed and had no money left, so I let him buy enough food for the whole week, just like he said he would.
