After what felt like years, i finally saw land. It looks like...an island? I quickly shake Coco up, get it? Nicocolas? I was too bored so until i fell asleep, which lasted 30 minutes because of a big fat wave, which i'm actually still confused how he didn't wake up, I made nicknames including: Nick - too basic, Nicholazy - will defo use that, Cole - my exes name which is a no-go, and Coco. Why am i so funny? After this guy fainted, i thought he was dead, but checking his pulse revealed he was unfortunately awake to my dismay. So no peace for me i guess.
This drama queen starts waking up like he came back from the fucking dead and starts breathing loud as shit then bombards me with a bunch of questions.
"Where am I? Where are my friends? Where's the other boat? Why am I her-" I stop this rapid-fire questioning, telling him to calm the fuck down first before he faints again.
I wait for his frenzied state to subside before i can mention there's an island over there, its' shape faintly visible as the sun begins to come up.
Once he realises what happened he looks at me wide-eyed before he gazes around us, probably trying to spot people or the other boat. His eyes finally come to the island, which he gasps, shakes me, and signals for me to 'look'.
I sarcastically gasp and shake him too, acting like he's the one who saw it first. After a second, he could tell i was being sarcastic and rolls his eyes at me.
"Come on then Coco, paddle with me before we starve to death." I tell him starting to paddle.
"Coco?" He looks over to me, also starting to paddle.
"Nicocolas, smart right?" He's acting like he hates it but i know damn right he loves it.
He sighs, letting it go, "Call me whatever you want gorgeous." He smirks.
Woah. I ignore the butterflies forming in my stomach, where'd that encouragement come from? I'm not complaining though, I like this Coco.

I'm shitting my pants.
Did I make her feel uncomfortable? Does she think i'm weird? God...why did i say that. You could've said anything else but u chose to say that, great job coc-NICHOLAS.
I don't know why but my stomach was all fluttery after she called me Coco. No one's ever cared or looked that close up into my name to make a nickname for me. But then again, if they did, i don't think they would live to tell about it.
You know what, in about a few minutes' time i'll compliment her again and see how she reacts. I'm so smart.
Our paddling finally came to an end when we arrived at the island. There was just sand and further up there was a forest only filled with green, hopefully they'll be food up there.
We both get off the boat, me picking up my bag and throwing it round my shoulder while she tries to get her suitcase from the boat.
After a while of her struggling to pick it up, I just took it myself and moved the inflatable on the side of the beach, so that if it were needed we could easily use it again.
I settle both of our things where the forest starts so that we will have some shade, but still be able to see if any boats or whatever come near the island.
"You stay here, okay? Try to relax while i find us something to eat. Okay gorgeous?" I say to her; she doesn't look uncomfortable and didn't tell me not to say it so i guess we're good.
"No, I'm coming with you."
"You can't, what if you see someone or they steal our things?" I tell her. That's not the real reason, we don't know what's in this island or what lies in the woods and i don't want her to get hurt.
"No one's coming and we'll bring our things," She states.
"We can't bring it the whole way." She still looks unconvinced. "Sweetheart listen, i swear if i see anything unusual or if 5 minutes pass without finding anything, i'll rush back here."
She looks at me for a second then nods, "5 minutes."
I grin at her before turning around and making my way inside the forest.

Three minutes in, and i only found some berries - I don't trust them, so i let them be and didn't pick them.
I'm not that far in, so i'm happy i haven't seen a predator or something yet. I look around one last time before leaving when my eyes spot some bananas, coconuts and oranges. These look perfect and so fresh too! I grab as much as i can; the bananas are connected together which was helpful. I carry the bananas in my right hand along with two oranges, and in my left, i held two coconuts pressing them against my chest to stabilise them.
I start fast walking my way back before my five minute timer ends. I didn't go that far, so i arrived just on time.
I place the coconuts, oranges and bananas on the sand before they fall off my arms. "Lookey here what i found! It wasn't that far in and look how fresh they are! You should be thanking me," I said confidently, but she doesn't look normal: she's not replying to me and she's not even looking at the things i brought.
"Hey," I tap her shoulder, sitting down next to her, "What happened, are you okay? Tell me about it." I asked in concern.
"It's nothing, I'm just not hungry right now." She mumbles, covering her stomach with her arms and crossing them.
"We haven't eaten at the cruise, and we didn't ate all night. How are you not hungry?" I ask her. I don't get it, what happened when i left?
"Stop bugging me, I said i'm not hungry... now leave me alone!" She gets up angrily and trots towards a rock fairly away from me and sits down.
Well, her loss. I peel the banana and start eating.
