Later that evening, Sasuke found himself in the living room with his mother. He recounted the events of the previous night and the lunch with Sakura's family. As he described the interactions, Mikoto smiled, pleased to hear that things had gone well.
Sasuke hesitated for a moment before asking, "Mom, how do you love someone? How does it feel?"
Mikoto looked at her son thoughtfully. "Love can be complicated, but it's also simple in its own way. It's about caring deeply for someone, wanting their happiness, and being willing to support them no matter what."
She paused, then continued, "Why do you ask?"
Sasuke's gaze dropped slightly. "Last night, when Sakura didn't hug me and was angry, I felt... pissed. But more than that, I was worried about what I might have done to upset her. I realized I was more concerned about her feelings than the clan or any deal. Thinking back on it, it scares me. I should not have been feel that way, however I cannot think of an explanation."
Mikoto's expression softened. "Sasuke, it sounds like you're experiencing love. It's natural to be worried about someone you care about, especially if you feel responsible for their emotions. It can be scary, but it's also a sign of how much they mean to you."
Sasuke nodded, absorbing his mother's words. The realization brought a mixture of relief and anxiety, but he also felt a newfound understanding of his relationship with Sakura.
Mikoto noticed the contemplation on Sasuke's face and gently probed further, "I know there were plans for Sakura to move in before the banquet. Is that what you want?"
Sasuke took a deep breath before responding, "I think so. I want her close, not just because of the arrangement between our families, but because I genuinely want her in my life."
Mikoto smiled warmly, "That's important, Sasuke. It's crucial that you're comfortable with the choices being made. It's not just about the clan; it's about building a life with someone you care about. I know this is an arranged marriage, but I do hope you fall in love."
Sasuke looked at his mother, his eyes reflecting a mix of determination and vulnerability. "I know things won't always be easy, but I think I'm ready for it. For us."
Mikoto placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "That's all that matters, Sasuke. If you want to move forward, do it because it's what you truly desire. Love will guide you through the challenges. You just keep proving to me what a great leader you will be and what an amazing asset you are."
Sasuke lay in bed, his mind restless as he drifted off to sleep. The events of the past few days swirled in his thoughts, but what occupied his dreams was Sakura.
In the dream, they were together in a serene, moonlit garden. Sakura was smiling at him with a warmth that felt both comforting and electrifying. They shared a moment of tender closeness, their hands brushing against each other as they walked, the intimacy between them growing palpable. He felt a deep connection, a blend of affection and longing that was both unfamiliar and exhilarating. Then the dream turned into something extremely difference, the setting from the garden turning to his bedroom.
Sakura's eyes locked with Sasuke's as she slowly lowered herself onto her knees in front of his bed. The room was dimly lit, casting shadows that danced across their bodies, heightening the intensity of the moment. She could feel the remnants of their passion still warm between her legs, a tangible reminder of their recent trysts.
Sasuke watched, his gaze dark and intense, as he leaned back against the pillows. His fingers traced lazy circles on his thigh, a silent invitation for her to continue. The air was thick with the scent of their mingled desires, each breath filling his lungs with the heady aroma.
