In this world(?), there are humans and demons. They are both aware of the other's existence, and have a very complicated relationship. Humans have different cities, and many at that, with each having their own experience with the other race. While there are different types of demons, they are all united under one person, the demon king. The demon king role has been passed down for centuries, with many new rules being made and old ones taken down. One of which being the rule allowing demons to cross over to the human realm on a whim. The newest and current demon king has negotiated with the humans, and any demon who crosses over without permission should be sent back to the underworld to receive their punishment as soon as possible. Now, with that taken care of, the story starts here.

3rd POV
A young demon goes through the portal, ending up in a forest. He looks around as his once white hair turned into a wolf grey.
There is rustling in the bushes, and the area around him goes quiet.
He grips his sword, holding onto it tight.
"Who or what are you?" the young demon asks.
Some more rustling.
"Answer me now or I will strike." He grits his very, very sharp teeth. "Who and what are you? I won't ask again."
A few seconds pass, and soon seconds turn into minutes. A young boy comes out of the bush.
"Ah- I, I'm sorry for not answering," he bows his head. "Please don't hurt me or my family."
The demon softened his grip on his blade, and relaxes his body.
"I apologize for scaring you, kid. What's your name? Why are you out here by yourself? It's dangerous to be alone during the night."
The boy lifts his head up, "I was looking for some twigs to help the fire. Me, my parents, and my sibling are camping, but I got lost and then saw you..."
The demon lets go of his sword and walks towards the young boy. He pats his head and gives him a smile, "Then how about I help you find your family?"
"Really? Thank you!" The boy replied, smiling wide with eyes that seemed filled with joy.
"So kid, what's your name? You can call me Seph," the demon said, looking around on guard for any threats.
"I'm Levon..." the child mumbles.

Somewhere else... 3rd POV
"Alex... we still haven't found him! It's almost been an hour now," a tall woman cries.
"Shhh... it's okay hon, we'll find him. He's old enough to stay out of trouble. He probably just got lost, you should try to calm down. And Casey, please go look for him again."
"Yes, father."
As Casey left, the woman began to cry in her lover's arms.
(I'm saying this now, do not think of the dad as a bad person for not going after the kid and sending his child instead. He knows how capable his child is, as well as the dangers of the forest and knows Casey will be okay, so at the moment he wants to stop his wife from rushing to find Levon and then getting lost as well.)
Casey quickly moves through the forest, looking for any traces of Levon. Soon, a few wolves appear in the way. Casey fought them off using a sword, a specially crafted one. Afterwords, the corpses were left while the mission to find Levon continues. Casey flinches, hearing noises by the bushes. Slowly approaching them... andddd...
"BOOO!!!!" Levon and Seph said in unison.
"ACK- YOU- LEVY!! You had us so worried. Don't run off like that again! And you- Firstly, who the... are you? Secondly, why would you play along with him?!"
"Don't blame him, Casey..."
"Hah! It's fine Levy, don't worry," he says while petting him. "You can call me Seph! I'm just visiting from the demonic realm. I'm here to both explore and give a message." He bows, and stands up proud with a smile.
"Well, I'm Casey," he turns to the kid. "I thought we told you to stay away from strangers, stranger danger, especially when you're out in the woods alone! And it's nice to meet you, Seph," he said while looking back.
"Likewise. And don't go too hard on the kid, he sorta ran into me right when I got out of the portal. I didn't know who or what he was so I kinda, maybe, threatened him... so it really isn't his fault," he looks away.
"You THREATENED him? He's a kid! I'll keep my cool this once since you didn't know, but you must've scared him! Don't you guys have heightened senses? How did you not realize? No, don't answer. It was because of the portal, right? Yeah, probably that."
The demon just nods in agreement, while the other sighs in disbelief.
"I'm sorry, big sib..," Levon said.
"It's fine Levy. Just be more careful next time since this wasn't anyone's fault."
The three talk a bit more before deciding to head out, going back to the siblings' camp.
"Levy, stay behind us!"
"Okay!!"
He runs behind them.
"You get those two, I'll get these."
Ahh-oooooooohh
They were slaughtered. Blood splattered on the trees. The wolves were ready to eat a meal, one with humans and even better, a demon.
