prologue

I've always believed fall was the superior season,the world becomes prettier,there's pumpkin treats everywhere,it begins to get colder.. but the best part of fall for me is always spooky season I love seeing the Halloween decorations everywhere and picking out a pumpkin to carve and eating spooky Halloween themed treats while watching Halloween movies,it just fills the darker side of me with so much joy and I love that it's in my favorite season. The reason I got into horror is because of a babysitter whose name I can't remember She wasn't a bad babysitter but like a lot of teenage girls she was a bit self obsessed. I was seven at the time and I was looking for a movie to watch and I found my dad's copy of the omen (the one from the seventies). I asked my babysitter if I could watch a movie and she said yes but didn't care enough to ask what it was,so I went downstairs and put the movie into the player. That was the first movie that actually scared me, and I loved it. My parents found out because I left the movie in the DVD player but watching that movie was definitely worth it because that movie has influenced a part of me and I don't know what I would be like if I didn't watch that movie at a young age. My mom wanted to have me checked by a doctor because she was worried I would be too scarred by the movie but my dad talked her out of it,instead he gave me his old collection of goosebumps (I still have a couple of them) and reading those made my love of horror grow and grow and its been a part of me for years. Its been a goal of mine to create a book of scary stories and I hope you enjoy them, have fun. PS: best read while hiding under your blanket
