Peter was always a night owl, he didn't mind being a gravedigger even if it meant being in a cemetery after dark. Cemeteries weren't different after the sun went down they were the same place there just wasn't as much light. Peter often had to chase teenagers out of the cemetery but most of the time people left the place alone, out of fear of either the cemetery or Peter himself. One boring night Peter began to dig a fresh grave but found that someone else was buried in it despite there not being a grave stone, it looked like it had been there for a long time as it was almost fully a skeleton. Peter became confused but soon he shook off his confusion and began his tradition that he had done with each corpse,he checked the body for jewelry. Peter never understood why people were buried with expensive stuff, the living had more use for this kind of stuff than the dead. Peter checked the corpse's arm and found a gold bracelet, he snatched it from the corpse hoping to pawn it the next day. Peter filled the hole again and dug a new one as he had originally intended to do. When he had finished the grave he looked up to see a woman in a hooded cloak at the front of the gates. "You're not supposed to be here!" He yelled. The woman stepped forward and was whispering something under her breath, Peter thought she was crazy until he realized she was talking to him. "Give me my bracelet, it's not yours to take" peter assumed the woman had seen him take the bracelet and was trying to scare him. "Real funny lady, but it's none of your business, they didn't need it anyway and I could get a lot for it" the woman crept closer to Peter and grabbed his hand. The woman held tighter as Peter tried to get free from her grip, her arm was cold and bony, the wind blew the woman's hood back and Peter screamed as the hood revealed that it was the same corpse he had dug up earlier. "You are sinful, you are not worthy of such a beautiful accessory, you are not even worthy of the air you breathe." The corpse grabbed Peter's neck and held on,trying to choke him.
The next morning the day guard for the cemetery walked into the gates and screamed as he found the gravedigger dead in the center of the plot, the case was never solved but they did trace Peter back to multiple accounts of grave robberys
