Derek stands between her and the door, looking at the letter that Laura sent Sigrid asking for help. She thought he might like to see just what Laura asked of her. But it is basically what she told him already, but it is from Laura more than the stranger he's just met. Werewolf or not.

"So you're just going to leave now?" He asks Sigridas he glances over at where she grabs a few pieces of clothing from her bed to pack her suitcase.

"Yeah, I know what happened to Laura" She points out. "I have passed on the result of my research to you....there is nothing more for me here" She kicks closed her suitcase and shrugs. She came here to find Laura, and she now knows that she isn't going to find her, there isn't really anything keeping her here. So could stay and find Noah, but a part of her doesn't want to. Severus is her father and she doesn't want to ruin that. She's so scared of ruining that image she has of him as her father. He had his issues, she knows that, and he could have been a better person and teacher, but he never failed her as a father.

"Reconsider?" He asks of her, she tilts her head in question before she takes a seat at the dining table.

"Seriously?" She counters. "Why?"

"Because Laura trusted you" He admits as he sets her journal down onto the table. "Because...." He lets out a breath through his nose. Sigrid smirks a little, watching him struggle to ask her for help. It is very amusing because he clearly is not used to doing it. He glances at her, finds her resting her head on her hand with a smirk on her face. He rolls his eyes. "Will you stay?" He asks her quietly. She leans up a little and lets out a breath. She would like to know who killed Laura. She would like to know why the spirals.

"I'll stay, for a bit" She offers. "A few days, a week tops..." He nods a little, understanding that she can't put her life on hold for this. She came here to check on a friend, not to live here. "If you do something for me too" He raises an eyebrow at her. "Not yet," She counters. "But you owe me one" He glances away from her to think about that request. It is only fair. He nods in agreement. She doesn't know what she is going to ask of him, but she figured having that favour in her pocket is better than not having it. "Well, now...." She flattens her hand onto the table. "Go away" She offers. "I'm tired and hungry" He snorts and then nods, turning to the motel door.

"That mind thing you did?" He asks as he turns back to look at her. Sigrid taps her nails on the table and raises an eyebrow at him. "Werewolves can't do that" He adds. She hums in agreement and shrugs.

"Nope" She agrees. "They can't" The two of them share a look, both careful about what it says. He's trying to figure her out. Figure out how she, as a werewolf, can do that trick. He hums a little and then leaves the motel room, closing the door behind him. Sigrid sighs a little and sinks into her seat, letting herself feel the death of Laura. Laura was her friend and her mentor for a short time but it meant a lot to Sigrid to have her teaching her how to be a werewolf. Laura was always kind and supportive of her. It made things a whole lot easier.

......

Some time after Derek leaves, Sigrid settles at the table with a mug of soup as she stares at her laptop. She still hasn't pressed enter on the search engine yet. Noah's name and the town's name are still there in the search engine. She pulls a face and closes her eyes. Seen as she is sticking around for a while, it might be a good idea to at least find out who he is. It can't go any worse than finding Laura. Unless of course, Noah is dead too. She sets the mug down and leans closer to her laptop. Just get it over with. Rip of the plaster. Find out one way or the other. She presses enter and watches the results appear on the screen. A few local news stories pop up first. It seems Beacon Hills only has one dedicated newspaper and news website. She opens up the first one and scans through it, the article itself is not specifically about Noah, but there is mention of him. He's alive and working as Sheriff of the town. She supposes it runs in the family, being a protector. She and Isla both did their part during the war. They fought to stop dark wizards taking over their world. To protect not only their own people but the whole of the muggle world. She clicks out of the article and continues to look through the other results, looking for a photo or an address. She doesn't know what she is going to do with that information, but she will have it. For whatever she decides on doing with it. She changes her search for the Sheriff's department in Beacon Hills. They might have a staff page that might give her a little more information.
