Previously on Borrowed Time...
The aftermath of Y/N and Kiriko's fight with Togami had left the two of them seriously injured and opened up time for conversation while they tended to their wounds. In which Kiriko opened up about something she had felt within Y/N since their first couple of encounters, a spirit she felt had laid dormant within him until it was awakened in a state of blind rage and adrenaline coursing through his veins. With no idea about what she was talking about or even how to awaken it again, Y/N is lost as to what to do next with this newfound knowledge, but one thing was evidently clear. The Hashimoto and Talon's meeting needed to be stopped, at all costs.
Across the port, Genji had infiltrated the enemies cruiser, uncovering the name's of two Hashimoto officials going by Togami and Kiyoshi. This peace was cut short after Genji had disabled the ship's cloaking device allowing for a fellow Overwatch agent D.Va to make her landing and provide her support to the mission at hand. All was accounted for except for one detail that slipped through...
Y/N's POV
Kiriko and I had been searching this ship for what had felt like hours... realistically it was only 10 minutes. Going deeper and deeper into the ships hull with not a single guard in sight, probably due to all the gun fire up top, must be Genji's doing...
Kiriko: "Can we take a break yet? My legs are gonna kill me"
Y/N: "We haven't even been looking for that long, besides the quicker we find a way to blow this cruiser to smithereens the better"
Kiriko: "But its too big, we wouldn't even know where to start looking"
Y/N: "I wouldn't... But you would"
Kiriko: "Why? I don't know anything about boats for the most part"
Y/N: "Right. But wouldn't Nobuto?"
Kiriko: "And you are implying?"
Y/N: "Just call him..."
She dialed some numbers into her phone and tossed it to me.
Kiriko: "Knock yourself out"
The phone rung in my hands until the familiar voice picked up on the other side.
Nobuto: "Boss? Why are you calling me?"
Y/N: "Listen up Nobuto, I need something from you"
Nobuto: "Wait. Why do you have her phone? What did you do?"
Y/N: "She is fine, just listen..."
Nobuto: "Alright, fine I suppose"
Y/N: "Theoretically, Where would be the best place to look if you wanted to overload and possibly explode a boat?"
Nobuto: "What would you need-"
Y/N: "Do you know the answer, yes or no?"
Nobuto: "Ugh... Yes, you would want to find where the engine is located and-"
I hung up the phone and tossed back to Kiriko and started moving towards where I saw the engine located.
Kiriko: "You know... you could've been nicer about it"
Y/N: "I'm sorry but I don't have time to lose"
Kiriko sighed and followed me, walking side by side with me wanting to talk.
