VISHA'S POV
The next day was all the same. Almost. Other than the fact that Abhita's cousin, also our session's topper was back. Yes. And what surprised me was that he wasn't the typical topper types. He was breathtaking.
Since the morning assembly when I saw him and got the information that he was in our class and this and that, I just couldn't take my eyes off him. On a serious note, he, his looks, his hairs, his height, his eyes, his nose, his... wait am I really yapping about a boy atp.
No, like seriously Visha. What have he done to me gods. Back to the point, he is good at sports as well, that's all, in fact that should be all.
It was the 3rd period now and I was still lost in my thoughts. Also, about the seat which I was sitting at. It was his. Embarrassing, I know. You can't just go around sitting at the seat of the person you find a little.... attractive.
The subject teachers were just coming and leaving while me and Abhita were just gossiping. Ishani was absent.
"You know whatt." she whispered.
"What?"
"I saw you staring" This girll.
"I wasn't staring at him" I gave her a glare
"I never said 'who'. Not even he or she, dear." She continued "Oh and yes, You were. For a whole minute, I checked the time."
"Tu sach ki pagl h na."
"Visha yr, ab maan bhi jaa. Tujhe Agasthya kaisa laga? hmm"
I ignored her and continued drawing anything in my notebook.
"Bhai h wo tera. Jada faltu mt bol Abhita"
"Gadhi, mera bhai h tera nhi. I saw your reaction when you saw him in the morning assembly."
"oh, And what was it?" Was I that obvious. Oh shut up Visha, obvious about what huh.
"You had that look of love on your face. Tu na jiss tarah se usse dekh rhi thi usse bhi butterflies aa gyi hongi. Even you didn't know what in him was making you keep staring at him, you were so clueless yet so knowing-"
"Tu na ab ek shabd aur nhi bolegi" I interrupted her filmy description in a serious voice.
Soon the classes were over and finallyy it was lunch now. Abhita left for washroom and I was called in by our maths teacher. What else could be the reason, my maths ain't good brotha.
"May I come in, sir"
"Yes. So Visha, everything fine in school? " He spoke as I stood in front of him.
"Yes sir, I get along with students just fine. School's going great too" Lies, miss. That girl from the first day, Anushka, is still annoyed by me, she's finding every other chance to put me down.
"oh, great. Thenn, why are your test grades not so, hmm?" oh, yeah. fuck. There was this surprise test and I almost failed. Not my usual thing but it happens sometimes you see.
"That, I'm sorry sir, I was new and didn't knew about it so-"
"So, what. You're not even going to study hmm? You think you can play oversmart here. I know children like you, no worries I'll fix you. Your parents number, write it down" Is he even for real. I said sorry. ughh.
"Sir, please no. I will study hard."
"Oh that you will. Ask your doubts from Agasthya, you know the topper. He will help you."
wait whatt! Firee you are sir. You are really just about to set up a big tornado yourself. Please, keh do ki aap majak kr rhe ho.
"What. Speak already."
'Yes, Okay sir, i will ask him for help."
"Hmm, great now leave. I expect better from you" Yeah, Yeah. Everyone does.
I left his office and started my way back to the class. Abhita said she'll be there also I need to take my lunch from the bag and then we'll be going back to the ground and have fu-
"Ouch, can't you see" I gasped, is this person for real, he stepped on my foot. I knelt and held my shoe tightly, not like it will help with the pain.
"You idiot-" I started but stopped mid sentence cuz Oh freaking heavens. I looked up and literally stopped and admired the view, my heart almost stopped beating.
"Oh, I'm sorry, You okay?" Agasthya, nice name, nice brain, nice face- shut up Visha. I'm literally staring and I can't stop. It's as if the time stopped, no ones moving? Or is it just my eyes that are stuck on him and aren't moving. I can't help it.
He bend down at my level and me being the embarrassment still can't stop staring, hell his eyes! Vishaa, stopp. My heart feels as if it will come out of my body, it's beating so fast.
"Hey, hey! you okay?"
"Uh. Yeah, I am totally fine." Heck I'm not. He held my arm lightly and helps me up and gods his touch feels so soothing and I can't stop looking.
"VISHAA... oh-" I hear Abhita's voice from somewhere near, his hand drops from my arm and I realize that I HAVE made a fool of myself, I quickly avert my gaze from him to the voice. Abhita's looking at me from an end of the corridor, laughing silently, I glare at her helplessly. Thank god, all the student are mostly in the ground, not much suspects to the crime.
She comes forward, "Oh, Agasthya, this is my friend Visha Singh. You know right?"
How would he. ofc he doesn't, he doesn't even look up from his books or away from his friends let alone me.
"Oh, I guess I know. Hi Visha" He forwards his hand for a shake, wait- He knows..! No, maybe he doesn't he could just be saying that to not to make things awkward. Fine, I understand.
Abhita nudges me and I look at her. From the corner of her eyes, smiling awkwardly, she actions towards his forwarded hand. Oh yes. A hand shake, it is. No hand holding, Vishaa.
I keep my thoughts aside in a box and shake his hands, firmly.
"I got to go guys. Have some work." He says, smiling at both of us.
"Yes, yes. jao." Abhita pulls me aside from his way as I still keep staring at him, the audacity of mine to look in those brown eyes straight. I jump out of my thoughts and emotions again and he leaves, ofc he does. And I take a deep much needed breath.
I turn to look at Abhita only to find her looking at me, knowingly.
"I know I fucked up, you don't need to tell me that"
She laughed out loudly, me joining soon after, and we both left to have our lunch, with another of the embarrassing moment.
