I quickly got down from the bed and literally ran to get freshen up. My alarm had already rang 5 times plus 2 times my mother shouted and the audacity of mine I still didn't woke up. I got out of the bathroom, wore the uniform, combed my hairs. And with a one last glance of admiring myself, I ran downstairs. It was already 7:20, I need to be at school in a few minutes. gods.
"Ohoo, uth gyi finally. hmare bolne ka to koi farak hi nhi padta inn baccho ko. Ye nhi ki subah jldi uth jaen aur kuch kaam m hath btwa den, nhi. Inki to nind hi khtm nhi hoti. Nashta kr aur jldi jaa, late h tu Visha."
"oho, you are up finally, hm. When we tell them to wake up it doesn't even affect these children. Can't you wake up at time and also help you parents in some work, no, their sleep never ends itself. Have breakfast and leave, you are late Visha."
She started with her bhashan (lecture) again, I grabbed my lunch box from her hands and threw it in my bag, had my breakfast and with a quick flying kiss I left.
~~~
My brother dropped me at the school and left. I know I'm late gods. The late comers were standing in a line and the sports teachers of ours were scolding them and all and all. I quietly joined the line and stood out of their sight.
"Why are you guys so irresponsible all the time, you should be at time always..." They continued with their lecture, as if the students even care. As they completed, we were told to run rounds of the ground, girls 8 times, boys 10 times, in this freaking scorching heat. Must have done some saste nashe in the morning to be able to give such a punishment.
We all started running.
I was done with 5 of them, thanks to me doing sports in the earlier school, 3 to go great. I ran, ran and ran finally I was done. Sweat, was all I could feel by now. The teacher then allowed me to go to the class.
"May I come in, mam" thank god it was hindi period or else I would have had to explain everything many a times.
"Come in, grab your seat and start doing the test given" TEST!?! tf. When was it scheduled for? Why didn't I knew. I nodded and sat on my seat, which was just behind Agasthya's, very sophisticated hehe, I was sitting alone and not like I didn't like it. With a few deep much needed breaths and water, I took out a blank page and looked at the board for questions.
I had forgotten my specs and definitely couldn't see clearly. Looks like god have planned for us to have a convo maybe.
"Could you show me the questions?" I slightly poked with my pen on his shoulder and whispered and to his unprofessionalism, he turned around fully.
You- dear you needn't look directly, we might get in trouble.
"YOU! what's going on there. Agasthya, are you guys cheating." I wanted to slam my face in the table at this point. He widened his eyes a little, almost looking as if he was sorry, but then turned around again.
"No mam, she was just asking what is written on the board. Bad eyes of hers you see." He spoke calmly, this man- did he just said that my eyes are not fine. For sure he did, cause I can totally sense a teasing note in his voice.
"Oh, ok, as you say, baccha. And what's your name girl"
"Uh mam, it's Visha. Visha Singh." I looked up at her and spoke.
"Okay. I heard you are also good in studies, also the previous school of yours is strict about it so."
"Yes, mam I do am quite good in studies but as you see it's the first week so I'm still adjusting"
