I walked away from Lyla, trying to shake off the feelings that had surfaced between us. Feelings I couldn't afford to have. Feelings that could get me killed.

As I put distance between us, I couldn't help but think about the danger that our relationship posed. Lyla's father, a powerful and ruthless man, would never approve of us being together. He would see it as a betrayal, a breach of trust. And he would stop at nothing to keep us apart.

I thought about the moment we shared, the way Lyla's eyes sparkled when she smiled, the way her touch made me feel alive. But I pushed those thoughts aside, focusing on the task at hand. Protecting Lyla, no matter the cost.

I made my way back to my post, scanning the area for any signs of danger. But my mind kept wandering back to Lyla, to the way she made me feel.

I knew I had to snap out of it, to focus on the job. But it was hard, so hard, when all I wanted to do was be with her.

As the day went on, I found myself constantly looking over my shoulder, wondering if Lyla's father had discovered our secret. Wondering if he was watching us, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

I knew I had to be careful, to keep my guard up at all times. But it was hard, when all I wanted to do was let my guard down, to be with Lyla.

As the sun began to set, I knew I had to make a decision. I had to choose between my job and my feelings for Lyla. And I knew which one I had to choose.

I made my way back to Lyla's side, my expression cold and guarded once again. But inside, I was screaming. I was screaming with fear, with anxiety, with the knowledge that I could never truly be with Lyla without putting us both in danger.

"Let's get back to your house," I said, my voice firm and detached.

Lyla looked up at me, her eyes questioning. But she knew better than to push me, to ask me what was wrong.

We walked in silence, the tension between us palpable. I knew I had hurt her, but I didn't know how to make it right.

As we reached Lyla's house, I knew I had to make a choice. I had to choose between my job and my feelings for Lyla. And I knew which one I had to choose.

I would protect Lyla, no matter the cost. Even if it meant giving up my own happiness. As we entered Lyla's house, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. I knew that I had to keep my distance from her, to protect her from her father's wrath. But being in her home, surrounded by her things, made it harder for me to resist her.

Lyla went to the kitchen to make some tea, and I followed her, my eyes scanning the room for any signs of danger. But as I watched her move, her grace and beauty caught my attention. I felt my heart skip a beat as I realized how much I wanted to be with her.

I pushed the thought aside, focusing on my job. But as we sat down to drink our tea, Lyla reached out and touched my hand. It was a small gesture, but it sent shivers down my spine.

"Aliyah, what's wrong?" she asked, her eyes filled with concern. "You've been distant all day."

I pulled my hand away, trying to maintain my composure. "I'm just tired, that's all," I lied.

Lyla looked at me skeptically, but she didn't push the issue. We sat in silence for a moment, the tension between us palpable.

Then, without warning, Lyla's father appeared in the doorway. His eyes narrowed as he looked at me, and I knew I was in trouble.

"Aliyah, can I talk to you for a moment?" he asked, his voice cold and menacing.

I nodded, my heart racing with fear. I knew that I was in danger, that Lyla's father had discovered our secret. And I knew that I had to protect Lyla, no matter the cost. As I followed Lyla's father out of the room, I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. Something was off, and I couldn't quite put my finger on it.
