chapter five
The rest of the interview with Louis went smoothly. They laughed and often times became annoyed with one another, but this was Louis after all. The interview was slowly coming to an end and Elizabeth knew what was coming next; lunch.
"How many more questions do you need lady?" Louis whined will slamming his head on Elizabeth's glass desk. "We've been at it for three hours!"
"Its been an hour." Elizabeth rolled her eyes at his exaggeration. "And there's one more question left."
"Well it feels like three hours." Louis didn't mind being with Elizabeth but he wanted to take her out already. He wanted to get to know her and be the one to ask her the questions.
"Alright, last question. What's one thing you would hate to read about yourself, maybe in a magazine or on the television?" Elizabeth asked.
"To be honest, lies. I hate reading about myself and knowing that some of that stuff isn't true but it's too late because everyone has probably already read it or heard about it." Louis answered. It always made him angry, reading complete lies and not being able to stop it from spreading. But that was how his life was.
"Well, we're done so you can go do celebrity things." She ushered, hoping he had forgotten.
"Nice try but I don't forget things that easily." Louis smirked while getting up and sliding on a beanie and sunglasses.
"Uh, I don't know what you're doing but we're in London and London is cloudy and rainy as fuck. Why the sunglasses?" Elizabeth gestured towards the large window behind her.
"I think you've forgotten that I am a celebrity and I often get noticed by people on the streets so I have to disguise myself." Elizabeth rolled her eyes and stood up while fixing her dress and blazer.
"Because a beanie and sunglasses will help. Let's go." Elizabeth sighed and walked around her desk where she was closer to Louis. This was probably the closet she had been to Louis since they met. She took in the smell of his expensive cologne and how his eyes look more blue from up close.
"Eager are we?" Louis wiggled his eyebrows. "Let's go!" He placed his hand on Elizabeth's back and guided her out of her office. Elizabeth smiled at how the slightest touch from Louis felt like a thousand butterflies going off in her stomach.
"Where exactly are we going?" Elizabeth asked out of curiosity. Some people at the office gave Elizabeth and Louis a few weird looks but she just shrugged them off as they got into the empty elevator.
"Across the street, there's a cafe that looks good." Louis answered. Elizabeth pressed the button for the main level as they rode in silence. "You look really good in blazers." Louis complimented.
"Thank you. You're legs look better than mine in skinny jeans." Elizabeth said back with a smile. Louis laughed in response.
"I appreciate it." He smiled as the elevators door opened. Phil wiggled his eyebrows as they passed the front desk and walked out the revolving door, Louis' hand never leaving Elizabeth's back.
-
"Since you ask me questions, do I get to ask you questions now?" Louis asked. Louis and Elizabeth had been at the cafe for merely forty-five minutes making small talk. Elizabeth truly loved having Louis around because he could make her laugh harder than anyone.
"Why not? Go for it." Elizabeth sat back and waited for the questions to start flowing.
"Okay, you know when earlier today you said 'you've been through this before' when I brought up lunch? What exactly did you mean?" Louis asked. Elizabeth knew this question was coming but still, she hoped that he had forgotten.
