Lecture was over, yet, Picesri was still glued to her seat, staring absentmindedly at the empty podium. Her body was there, but her mind was elsewhere. She couldn't even concentrate on the lecture that day, because she was too stunned by Jaokhun's demand. Did he lose his sanity? Why in the world did he want to date a tomboy like her? He was surrounded by so many beautiful women, yet he chose to date her. Why? Could it be, he was doing it for a challenge? Or maybe because it was part of his bucketlist?
Picesri immediately looked up as she felt a hand was placed on top of her head. "What are you doing?" Asked her flatly.
"Brushing my date's hair. Am I not allowed to do that to you?" Jaokhun grinned. He swiftly removed his hand and took a seat next to Picesri, sneaking his arm around her shoulders.
"Get your hand off of me!" Picesri tried to get up but she was pulled back to her seat by Jaokhun who held her firmly. "Stop this, Jaokhun! This is not funny anymore! I didn't even agree to your demand! Date you?! That is fucking weird!" She cussed angrily.
"Yup, it's weird. But that's what I want for my reward."
"Why are you doing this, Jaokhun? You don't even like me. And to date you....that's rubbish. I bet, you only want to make a fool out of me, am I right, Jaokhun?"
Jaokhun simpered. "Is that what you think of me? Why don't we date first? Then only you can say whatever you want about me."
Picesri bored her stare on Jaokhun's face. "I still don't get it, Jaokhun. Why me?" She said in her shaky voice. She might look like a male, but she was indeed fragile like a female. She wasn't that attractive and even dressed herself in similar style to Jaokhun, so, why did he become so interested in her?
Jaokhun was popular in that University. He was the womaniser who had a different woman in his arms every single day. Didn't they give him their absolute attention when they went out with him? It should be more than enough. But what went wrong that he wanted to date her? As far as she knew, he had no valid reason at all.
Jaokhun smiled. "Because I'm interested in you."
"Since when?" Queried Picesri.
Jaokhun turned his face to Picesri and slowly he leaned closer until the tip of his nose had touched Picesri's cheek. "I won't tell you until you have agreed to date me." He uttered in his sexy voice before closing his eyes and sniffed her scent. "You smell nice."
Picesri immediately shoved Jaokhun's chest to separate them. "Yah! Stop making fun of me! Just leave me alone!"
Jaokhun sighed. "Why is it so hard for you to agree?"
"Because...this is ridiculous! You're a man who should date a real woman! Not me!" Picesri piped out furiously.
"Are you trying to tell me that you're not a real woman?" Jaokhun's gaze fell on her crotch, wondering if she had a penis like him. But that didn't stop him from wanting to date her. He always wanted to get closer to her, but he didn't get that chance until the yesterday incident. Obviously he was taking advantage of their unexpected situation. But, if that would help him get closer to Picesri, he would use it.
Picesri's mouth was rounded in stupefaction. Oops! Jaokhun was right. She was a woman too. A real woman but dressed in men's clothes because they were very comfortable. And because, it had been her style ever since she was still a little kid. His parents wanted a son, unfortunately, they got her instead. Her mother couldn't get pregnant anymore, so, to make believe that they had gotten a son, they dressed her as one, and even taught her to be rough and manly. But no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't change what God had given to them. Her estrogen hormone still identified her as a woman. A female with a womb inside the body.
"Why didn't you answer me? Are you a real woman or not?" Jaokhun repeated his words.
Picesri shrugged before she nodded her head and looked away.
"Then, why can't I date you?"
"Because, I'm not the kind of women you dated. And to be honest, I have never been on a date either. How do you think I would react when a womaniser suddenly wanted to date me? Should I smile and happily accept and comply?"
"Hmm...yes you should. Since it's a rare occasion." Jaokhun answered. If he was in her shoes, he might be thrilled to have someone interested in him. It wasn't everyday she would get the opportunity of being pampered.
Picesri said nothing. She was debating with herself whether she should just go for it and get over it quickly. Maybe she should just play along, as long as it didn't involve anything regarding the heart. Because once it did, she was afraid that her fragile heart would be shattered into pieces when Jaokhun finally realized that she wasn't even close as a girlfriend material.
"Are you done thinking? Why is it so hard for you to say yes?"
"Because....normally we date someone we love. Not because of a reward." Picesri piped out finally to make Jaokhun understand her reason for going against it.
"What about a blind date? They don't date someone they love too. They simply date the other party who is a completely stranger just to see if they are compatible, hoping that it will bloom into love later. Have you considered that reason where a date doesn't always start with love?"
Picesri was stunned to speak. She was speechless. She never thought that far.
"I know you are still reluctant to date me. What if we give it a try for a certain period of time?" Jaokhun made a suggestion that might be accepted by Picesri.
"For how long?"
"Perhaps....three months."
Picesri blinked, processing the suggestion amount in her brain. "Okay. And when are we going to start?"
"Let's start today. Let's make today as the first day we date."
