"Still thinking about Emily?" Jaokhun asked as he maneuvered his car to the beach without telling Picesri.
"Sort of." Picesri threw her gaze out of the window, heaving a deep sigh as she spoke. She couldn't help but wondered, the reason Jaokhun adamantly said that Emily was the nightmare. What had she done to make Jaokhun decline her just like that?
"You can ask me if you're curious."
Picesri glanced at Jaokhun before kept her gaze straight to the road. "What did Emily do that you seemed to hate her so much? Have you dated her before?"
Jaokhun grimaced. "Yes. I have dated her before. A gold digger who used her beauty to bewitch men. I fell into her trap once. But not anymore after I found out, that she even cheated on me, going out with men who showered her with luxury."
Picesri quietly nodded and looked away. "So...you've been hurt before."
"Hmm..." Jaokhun hummed as a reply.
"And that's the reason you started womanising."
Jaokhun simply kept his mouth shut.
"Hmm..why do I get this feeling like you were fooling around with women to get your revenge?" Picesri glanced at Jaokhun.
"What makes you said that?"
"I just realized, every woman who dated you, were similar to Emily."
Jaokhun beamed. "I'm not a bad man, Picesri."
"Then, why not sticking to one woman and stop playing around?"
Jaokhun sighed. "Because....like you said earlier, each one of them is similar to Emily. They wanted me for the wrong reason."
"And what about me? Am I some kind an experiment to see if I would do the same as Emily?"
Jaokhun said nothing but drove the car to a massive beach villa that was given to him for his birthday. He parked the car, killed the engine, unlocked the door, then got out from it and started to walk towards the villa.
"Jaokhun!!" Picesri swiftly rushed after Jaokhun and her pace was put into a halt when she entered the villa, amused by its interior. "Whose place is this?"
"Mine." Said Jaokhun briefly, and went straight to the kitchen. He opened the refrigerator and fetched one of the beer to quench his thirst before taking another one and passed it to Picesri.
"What are we doing here?" Picesri swallowed nervously. She suddenly remembered they were alone in that villa which was pretty isolated.
"Continuing with our date." Jaokhun gently took Picesri's hand and walked her to the beach that was connected to the villa.
"Wow...." Picesri's mouth was wide opened as she immersed herself with the beauty of that beach during the night. It was a pretty rare sight for her, seeing the moon's reflection on the sea water. It was like a beautiful painting that she couldn't afford to buy.
"Beautiful, isn't it?"
Picesri nodded as they walked near the water. When they came into a certain spot, Jaokhun immediately sat down on the white sand and pulled Picesri to sit between his legs then wrapped his arms around her.
"Jaokhun...." Picesri mumbled.
"Just let me hug you, Picesri." Jaokhun uttered softly and placed his chin on Picesri's shoulder. His lips slowly curved into a soft smile. "I've always wanted to do this."
"Do what? Sitting here in the dark? Or hugging someone you barely know?"
Jaokhun sighed. "Let me rephrase. What I wanted to say is, I've always wanted to have such a romantic date like this."
"Don't tell me you've never done it with those women you had dated."
Jaokhun shook his head a couple of times.
"Why?"
"Because....it didn't feel right when I dated them." Replied Jaokhun.
Picesri turned her head and stared at Jaokhun's face up-close. Jaokhun mirrorred her action and their lips were almost touched if Picesri didn't jerk her head back a little to avoid any collision. But her face was still facing Jaokhun who was looking at her with his soft gaze.
"You're pretty." Jaokhun suddenly commented after a while.
"Yeah...whatever." Picesri retorted.
"You must be thinking that I said that a lot to other women just to win some points."
"A womaniser like you, that must be one of your pick-up lines to get them. So, I am not surprised."
"But, to be honest, I never said that to any of them. I never complimented them sincerely from the bottom of my heart. I only did it to you."
"I don't believe you." Picesri stated her doubts.
"As expected." Jaokhun grimaced as he diverted his gaze to the front again, watching the waves that hitting the sand harmoniously. "But that's the truth. I don't simply give out compliments to my date unless I think they deserve it."
Picesri continued staring at Jaokhun. "Not even one person?"
"After Emily..., nope."
"Because she has set the bar that high?" Picesri wondered if that was the reason.
Jaokhun simpered. "What Emily has right now, is due to multiple surgeries, Picesri, and of course make-up. It's not natural beauty. And those women I dated, none of them even dared, showing me their bare faces. Their faces were covered with make-up as well. So, how am I supposed to compliment if they were not shown to me?" He asked as his eyes were glued to Picesri once again. "But you are different, Picesri. Your face is not covered, and your skin is smooth. You have beautiful smile. And even when you got mad, I found you adorable."
Picesri blinked profusely. "Are you sick, Jaokhun? This is totally not you."
"No. This is the real me. I am showing you the real me, not some typical playboy like I always portrayed." Jaokhun retorted adamantly.
"Okay....if you said so." Picesri responded while looking at the unopened beer can in her hands. "But...why are you showing it to me?"
Jaokhun carefully pulled Picesri to lean back against his chest and tightened his embrace. "Because.....I like you, Picesri." He gingerly brushed his lips against Picesri's jaw.
"There's nothing to like about me."
"That's what you think. I've been watching you, Picesri. I might have someone different in my arms every single day, but my eyes always search for you. Always...."
"Since when?"
Jaokhun smiled. "Let's date for three months. After three months, if you are willing to be my girlfriend, then I will tell you."
