I was so close, so goddamn close. Maybe today is just a sign that I shouldn't ask her just yet... I'm losing my mind. Please let it go right, just this once.

"Coffee?" Steve place a paper cup in to my hand.

"Thanks." I sit up straight from the uncomfortable waiting room chair and take a sip of the distasteful but well enough coffee. We been here for about five hours, y/n left to give Wanda and Vision support. Only now and then, popping out to let us all know how it going. "It going to be a long day it seems." I softly chuckle, placing the cup on the side.

"Did you do it?" Steve asks, I shook my head.

"No, I was going to until Natasha bursts in to the room telling us about Wanda being in labour." I shrug taking a sip of the coffee and placing it back on to the table.

"Sorry," Natasha apologises from the other side of the waiting room as she walks over to Steve.

"It's fine. This is more important."

"Buck, don't say that..."

"What?" I shrug. "It is!"

"Don't lose hope, it will happen."

"Fuck!...." Wanda screams with tears falling down her eyes. Vision holds Wanda hand as I wipe her face with a damp cloth.

"You're doing so well, Wanda. Keep going." I encourage her.

"I C-Arggghh... I can't." She yells, breathing heavily as she lean her head back on the pillow and up again. Her baby hair sticking on to her face as sweat falls down. I re-wet the cloth from a small wash bowl and rinse it a little before dabbing it against Wanda forehead and the back of her neck.

"Of course, you can baby." Vision gently spoke while he kisses her forehead.

"Don't patronize me. You did this to....... Me." She shouts as another contractions hits her. Vision and I just look at each other.

"Why don't I get you some ice chips?" Vision suggests as he begins to walk away but Wanda quickly grabs his hand tightly.

"Please don't go." She begs as Vision strokes her forehead.

"I'm not going anywhere baby." I hear Vision whisper. I look at the both of them, seeing how sweet and loving they both are. How the once nervous man passing out over being a dad and here he is... Standing there with his wife, comforting her as she gives birth to their children. Maybe one day.

"I'll go and get some." I smile. "I won't be long." I move around the bed toward the door. "Good luck," I whisper to Vision before shutting the door behind me.

"Noww.... Where the hell do I get ice chips from?" I mumble to myself while I walk down the corridor. "Ice chips? Ice chips?" I repeat, looking around down the corridor to find someone who can help until I finally reach a small nurses area.

"Excuse me? Hi, sorry to bother you but.."

"Ice chips?" The nurse asks with a small chuckle.

"Yeah how"

"It's my job to know. Let me get that for you."

"Thank you." I softly chuckle.

"Look this morning was a disaster with the stupid pigeons, plus the other amount of times you tried but the breakfast together went well, right?" I hear Natasha talk.

"It did, like really well." I could hear Bucky smirking as he talks. I move closer to the waiting room to listen in. "And then... In our room, I gave a great big speech about how I feel, how she makes me feel. I had the ring behind me and all I had to do was say y/n will you marry me? And I couldn't do that right." I hear him huff as I cover my mouth.
