The lectures dragged on. I sat next to a guy named Boss. He was really cool, with a biker vibe. We started chatting. He told me he was an actor and sometimes missed classes. He asked if I could share notes with him. I said sure, no problem. I was happy to make a new friend. I couldn't wait to tell Pond about him.
After the lecture, we went to get drinks. As we walked back, I saw Joong sitting a few rows behind us. He was staring at me again. I pretended not to notice. What was his problem?
We got back to our seats. Boss was looking at something outside. I followed his gaze and saw a sleek orange sports car. His eyes widened.
"I thought there were only three big shots in this college," he muttered. "Now there's a fourth."
I looked at him confused.
"Joong, Phuwin, and Gemini. They're the richest students in the whole university, maybe even Thailand," Boss explained. "Now that he's here, they're going to flip their lid. They can't stand him."
I was starting to feel like I was in a drama.
"Who is that?" I asked Boss, curious.
Before he could answer, the guy from the car walked past us. He was wearing the same uniform as us, but he had this aura of superiority. He didn't even look our way.
"That's him," Boss said, his voice low. "Ohm Pawat."

Boss and I were standing there, like the rest of the seniors and some girls who has come out the auditorium like us for fresh air, but I felt a different kind of heat rising in me. It wasn't the usual freshman jitters. It was something closer to irritation.
He strolled past us, It was like we were nothing more than the air he breathed. An earpod was jammed in one ear, and he had this arrogant swagger about him. A bunch of seniors and girls were practically drooling, waiting for him like he was some kind of deity. I watched as one girl, probably a year older than us, tried to work up the courage to approach him.
“You’re so handsome,” she finally blurted out, her voice a mix of nervousness and admiration. “I’ve seen you around and…”
Ohm didn’t even break stride. He simply walked past her as if she were invisible, the girl's words hanging in the air like a deflated balloon.
