The Key Keepers

Chapter 1

13 million years ago, there were five chosen ones known as the "Key Keepers.

Each keeper was granted a special power by the Onyx Key, a magical artifact created by the Five Guardians of Onyx. The key was forged to empower the guardians in their fight against a great evil that plagued the planet, Onyx. Elios was a malevolent warlock who terrorized Onyx, corrupting everything and everyone he touched. He sought the Onyx Key to attain ultimate power and to rule over the entire universe. However, the guardians resisted him to prevent his plan from succeeding.

When the guardians confronted Elios to save the planet, the universe, and all life within it, they were nearly defeated. Elios had almost corrupted all the Key Keepers and was on the brink of becoming the new holder of the Onyx Key—if not for Areus. Areus, the mage and second guardian of Onyx, cast a spell that imprisoned Elios in a dimension of captivity. However, this spell came at a great cost: Areus had to sacrifice his life to save the planet and the universe.

After Areus's sacrifice, only four Key Keepers remained, but the power of the Onyx Key was too immense for just four keepers to bear. The remaining keepers relinquished their powers and vanished after the battle, as did the Onyx Key. To this day, no one knows whether the keepers are still alive. However, there is a myth that the Onyx Key will one day be found again by five new Key Keepers with pure hearts who will save the universe.

Now, 13 million years later, Elios has been freed from his prison dimension by an even greater and more powerful evil. Elios is bent on revenge against the Key Keepers who locked him away for so long, yet the Onyx Key remains missing. With Elios and this new threat loose in the universe, and no Key Keepers to oppose them, is the universe doomed?
