I flipped through the numerous channels and finally landed on a reality TV show featuring Black couples and their lives. Jessica left over an hour after we enjoyed some great morning intimacy. I am not going to work today, the man them must handle for the day.

I appreciate my time with Jessica because she knows how to keep things discreet and doesn't have any attachment issues—exactly why our arrangement works. Now, I was just passing the time until Angelee arrived so I could figure out whose child she was expecting because it was clear that it wasn't mine.

I got up off the couch and headed into my kitchen to make something to eat even though I would be going over to mummy to talk with her and I know how she loves to pack me up with food.

I know she wanted me to live close to her but I don't like the community and being close to the head base gives me a lot of advantages not saying I don't stay with mummy most of the time. This house is one of the places I can go to clear my head.

After allowing the mackerel to boil for a few more minutes, I turned off the heat and let it simmer. Just then, the doorbell rang. With a sigh, I walked over to the door, peering through the peephole while my hand rested on my gun. I saw it was Angelee, so I opened the door, let her in, and closed it behind us.

"Give me a minute," I said, heading into the kitchen to turn off the fire under the pot. As I returned to the living room, I found her seated comfortably, her baby bump prominent. I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something wicked about her. Whether pregnant or not, she had a look that reminded me of trouble—like a dark shadow lurking just beneath the surface.

"When you come back?" she said, glancing around with a sly smile. "That's none of your concern," I replied, trying to keep my tone neutral. "Do you want to know why you are here?"

She leaned back, her expression shifting to something more serious. "Oh, your mother tells you what happens."

I raised an eyebrow, intrigued but cautious. "Oh, why the fuck do you disrespect my mother and lie to her?" Angelee hesitated, biting her lip as if weighing her words. "I.... didn't mean to Fabian"

"Then why the fuck do you go to my mother's yard and cause problems knowing full well me don't fuck since last year," I said, crossing my arms.

"Because," she said, her voice dropping to a whisper, "the baby is innocent and you could be a good father."

I studied her, trying to read the truth behind her eyes. There was something in her tone that hinted at desperation, but I couldn't ignore the nagging feeling that she was playing a game.

"Who is the baby's father Angelee?" I already know it is because of the background check I asked Joel to do.

I knew she wasn't doing well after I called off our engagement and left Jamaica. The heartbreak had driven her into the arms of my rival gang, where she began to mix and mingle with people who were dangerous and mean no good.

It wasn't long before she found herself entangled in a web of activities, getting deeper into things that she couldn't easily escape. Desperation clung to her like a shadow, and I knew that she was drowning in debts that loomed over her like a storm cloud. I know the reason why she is doing this is because wants help but one thing I hate the most is that she disrespects my mother.

"Look Angelee I will sort out what needs to be sorted out, just go up a country go stay with your family," I said with a sigh when she took too long to answer my question.
