*The next morning*
Once again I was awake before the sun could peek over the horizon and shed its light. Stepping out of my tent, I was met with the sight of Lori sitting by the fire once again as she looked up and smiled at me as I took a seat to her left while Chaos went to do his morning business.
"So ... you grew up with Merle and Daryl?" Lori asked, running her hands over her legs as she looked at me with a curious smile.
"Yes I grew up next door to the Dixon brothers" I smiled softly as the first light of day finally peeked over the horizon. I rolled my eyes as Chaos padded up to me with a stick in his mouth as his tail wagged, wanting to play fetch.
"And my guess is Daryl is your best friend.... The one you are in love with?" She asked, the fire cracked softly in the morning silence as we both looked up to see Dale step out of his RV, nodding his head to us in greeting.
"Yes, he is and before you say it .... I'm not gonna tell him and ruin our friendship." I spoke softly but my tone made it clear that I was not going to change my mind on the matter. She nodded her head, but I knew she was holding this conversation for another time.
After everyone was awake and had eaten and the scavenging group was getting ready to leave, I had Carl and Sophia to look after Chaos for me as I did not want to take him with me in the city this time. Instead, I left him to help protect the kids if there was to be any trouble.
Glenn had decided it would be best if we took my truck, since it had the most room for everyone and supplies. And all though I was not happy with the idea, at first, I knew it would be the better option then walking and carrying the supplies back.
After a 45 minute drive to the city, I parked my truck next to some train tracks as we all got out of the truck and gathered our bags. Once ready, we began our track to a clothing store as Glenn led the way with me and Merle followed in the back of the group.
"Ya didn't bring the furball?" Merle asked, walking beside me as we snuck down an alleyway.
"Thought it would be better for him to stay at camp" I spoke softly as the group stopped behind Glenn before we all bolted for the back door of the store. Everyone went their separate ways while I went to the roof to watch over the street. Hearing footsteps behind me, I turned to see Glenn following me up the stairs.

I had borrowed Glenn binoculars after 2 hours of being on the roof as I track a man on horseback as he rounded a corner, only to come face to face with a horde of walkers. We watched as the horse started to freak out and throw the man to the ground near a tank as the horde surrounded the horse, dragging the poor thing to the ground as they ripped into the animal. I shook my head, watching the man crawl backwards towards the tank as he wiggled his way under with some of the walkers close behind. We heard him shoot off a few rounds as I thought, 'What a dumbass.'
"Come on" Glenn said as he made his way to a fire escape that would lead down to an alley closer to the tank.
"Do you have a walkie on you?" I asked, looking to see if the guy made it or not as Glenn looked for the walkie before heading it to me. Turning the walkie on, I looked for the right channel to the tank radio system to contact the dumbass that got himself stuck. Another shot went off, but a little more muffled, so I figured he made it into the tank with a walker. My thought was proving when he stuck his head out of the top of the tank before closing the hatch as walkers climbed on top.
