About three years ago my boss, Mr. Kim, fired his entire IT department because of a very serious error that cost him over a million dollars to fix. He then entrusted our entire company in the capable hands of a younger team of individuals that seemed to know computers better than anyone I had ever known.
Jungkook, Namjoon, and Yoongi were team leaders of a subgroup for the company called Xavier Connections, and not once in the last three years had we ever had a problem before. That is until recently.
Sitting at my desk I was fuming with annoyance. This was the 3rd time this week that my computer was having a full meltdown. Sitting here doing nothing while IT poked through my computer was not exactly how I wanted my day to go. I had shit to do.
"Miss Lennox." I hear from behind me.
"Good Morning, Mr. Kim." I sighed.
"Are you still having computer issues?"
"This is the 3rd week in a row, 3rd time this week. First on Tuesday, then yesterday, and now today." I replied looking back to the screen in front of me. I could see different files popping open and the computer mouse moving around from whoever it was in our IT department who was trying to help me. "Do we have a new IT guy or something?"
"No, it's still the same team." He replied looking at the screen. "Maybe we need to get them up here in the office instead of just trying to do it remotely."
"Oh, if you do, get that Namjoon guy. He is sooooooooo fine." I smiled and winked at him.
He shook his head with a short laugh. "You're lucky I don't fire you for saying that. I think its technically sexual harassment."
"He could sexually harass me all he wanted. I don't think I'd take him to HR." I teased.
"You teeter the termination line quite a bit you know."
"If you fired me, you'd be without the only assistant you ever had that didn't completely fuck over your entire schedule. Ever since I started, you have had it easy. You wouldn't dare."
"You know people wonder why I let you talk to me that way." He replied with a grin.
"Just tell them we are fucking and they'll leave us alone."
"For fucks sake Lyric." He laughed. "Say that a little louder and people will think we are having an affair."
I shrug. "It would be an explanation."
With an amused grin he ran his hand down his face. "I'm married. To a man."
"So." I replied with a laugh. "Perfect cover for an office affair."
"Stop saying that shit." He laughed.
"I am just teasing, sir." I said to ease his anxiety. "I like your husband way too much to even consider an affair. No matter how handsome you are."
"Speaking of which, he will be here today if you'd like to have lunch with us. He is bringing my brother with him and maybe you two will hit it off?"
"You want me part of the family that badly?" I teased.
"I wouldn't mind." He grinned back.
Just then there was a small spark coming from my computer that made both of us jump before it went blue screen, then completely black.
"For fucks sake." I said using his words. "What the hell are they doing?"
Before he could even respond my phone rang.
"Thank you for calling Mr. Kim's office, this is Lyric."
"Good Morning, Miss Lennox." I heard a familiar voice say from the other end. The deep and smooth voice, I really couldn't tire of hearing.
