Alex drove her little hired jeep through the amazon rainforest. The jungle was thick, and was covered in things that was always trying to kill her, or poison her, even the trees and the plants could be deadly. Luckily for her, this wasn't her first time being there, and she knew what to keep a look out for, and what not to touch. Sleeping was a problem, as most of the deadly insects feasted at night, but she muddled through it, determined to prove to her big brother that she could do this, and the more she kept herself busy, the less she thought about the break up that just happened.
Many times she stopped, checking she was still on the right track. The more she pushed through the thick trees, the more she questioned if she was going in the right direction.

Until, day four, she pushed through a thick part, coming out and finding the forest was thinning out, then her eyes landed on a stone wall, and her sat nav started beeping, letting her know she had arrived. Slowing down in the car, she followed the wall, before parking up. It hadn't failed to her attention that there was other track marks in the grass, causing her to wonder if someone had beaten her to this.

Alex got out of her car, and grabbed the bag, then walked through the middle, realising there was signs of life all around her, where the houses would be, along with vegetation that had been growing. But she walked forward, knowing that they would have there place of worship at the front of it all. And sure enough, the longer she walked, the more she realised there was a large area, where it would have been. Her heart was pounding in her ears, wondering if she had just located the lost city of Atlantis.

She stood on the higher ground, snapping away on her camera, taking many pictures around the open area, before she turned and headed to the steps that lead up to something hidden in the trees. Pushing the vines out of the way, she realised that their temple was still here, some of the buliding was still standing.

Alex walked through what used to tbe building, seeing the roof was completley gone, and some walls had crumbled. As she was walked forward, the ground just opened up, causing her to quickly step back and look down, realising that there had been an underground section to it. A smile crept over her face, as she started shining her torch.
Moments later, the ground where she was standing, gave way as well, and she was falling through the air, she let out a little scream, as her torch fell from her hand, and she reached out, grabbing what was in front of her, finding she was now hanging onto a tree root.

With her heart hammering in her ears, she clung to the roots, then pulling another torch from her backpack, shining it around, finding that she was in a large underground temple. Instantly reminding her of the scene in Tomb Raider, with Angelina Jolie.

Looking below her, she found her torch had landed on the floor. So, carefully she shimmied down the tree root, until she could see the ground there, jumping down as well. Alex picked up the torch, and put the spare back. Looking around, there was markings and carvings on the wall, of the same eye symbol that had been on the map.

Slowly, Alex made her way around the place she had fallen through, the further she walked, the more she realised she was hearing voices. Someone else was here.

Carefully Alex walked through to another chamber, finding this one opened right up, and there was a lot of people standing around, they were talking to each other, while a woman was looking at the furthest wall. Alex turned her attention to the front, finding that there was a large stage looking area, where some had fallen down, but the Eye of Eternity was etched and carved into the wall that was behind that.
This was where they did there worshipping.

"Don't move"

She whirled around, finding two men standing there, aiming their guns at her.

Slowly, she raised her hands, realising that she was outnumbered. One of them reached in and took her weapons, while they other kept aiming the gun. They then insisted for her to get moving, and so, they headed downstairs to where they were all gathered, her hands were still up in the air, when the blonde woman turned around from the wall, a man by her side, grinning when she saw Alex was there.
