As Sunoo and Sunghoon strolled through the park, Sunoo felt a blend of excitement and anxiety. Sunghoon had suggested meeting his brothers today, and while Sunoo was eager to socialize, he couldn’t shake his nervousness. The park was alive with the sounds of children playing, couples chatting, and birds singing, all bathed in the golden light of the afternoon sun.

Sunghoon led them to a shaded bench beneath a sprawling oak tree. The bench provided a tranquil view of a pond where ducks glided serenely across the water. Sunoo took a seat, trying to calm his nerves as they waited for Sunghoon’s brothers to arrive.

After a short while, Sunoo noticed two men approaching. One was tall and lean, with a darker complexion and a commanding presence. The other was also tall but had a more defined build, with fair skin and sharp, distinctive features. Both men carried an air of natural confidence and charisma that made them stand out.

Sunghoon stood up and waved enthusiastically as the men drew closer. “Jay! Ni-ki!” he called out, his voice filled with warmth. The two men responded with bright smiles, their faces lighting up as they approached.

When they reached the bench, Sunghoon introduced them with a sense of pride. “Jay, Ni-ki, this is Sunoo, the friend and neighbor I’ve been telling you about. And this is Sunjin, his son.”

Jay, the man with sharper features, extended his hand towards Sunoo with a welcoming smile. “Hi, I’m Jay. It’s nice to finally meet you.”

Ni-ki, the taller of the two, gave a firm handshake with a nod. “And I’m Ni-ki. It’s a pleasure.”

The conversation soon began to flow smoothly. Jay was eager to share stories about his fiancée, Jungwon, an omega with whom he was deeply in love. “You know,” Jay said, his eyes lighting up with affection, “My fiancée Jungwon is also an omega, and I think you and he would get along really well. He’s warm and incredibly understanding. I can see you two having a lot in common.”

Sunoo smiled, feeling a bit of relief at the mention of someone who could relate to his own experiences. “That sounds wonderful. I’d love to meet him sometime.”

Ni-ki, who had been listening with interest, then chimed in with a slightly awkward but amused expression. “As for me,” he began, shifting in his seat, “I’ve got a boyfriend named Heeseung. Heeseung is... well, he’s always quite active, if you know what I mean.”

Jay chuckled, catching Ni-ki’s slight embarrassment. “Heeseung does have that reputation,” he said with a knowing smile. “He certainly keeps things interesting.”

Ni-ki flushed slightly, rubbing the back of his neck. “Yeah, Heeseung is... very enthusiastic. Sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming, but I suppose it’s just part of who he is.”

Sunoo listened with a mixture of curiosity and sympathy, understanding how such dynamics could affect their relationships. “It sounds like you two have a lively relationship,” Sunoo remarked, trying to offer a supportive smile.

The conversation continued as they shared more about their lives and relationships. Jay spoke of his plans for the future with Jungwon, their dreams of starting a family, and their shared hobbies. Ni-ki regaled Sunoo with humorous anecdotes about Heeseung’s playful and persistent nature. Sunoo found himself gradually relaxing, appreciating their openness and the way they spoke fondly of their loved ones.

As the afternoon wore on, the park’s heat became increasingly uncomfortable. What had started as a pleasant temperature now felt quite oppressive, prompting the group to decide it was time to head back to Sunghoon’s apartment, which promised a cooler and more comfortable setting.

Back at Sunghoon’s apartment, Sunoo felt a wave of relief. The space was cozy and familiar, with soft colors and comfortable furnishings. The living room featured a large sectional sofa, a coffee table with magazines and a few toys, and a big window offering a view of the city skyline. Sunoo had visited a few times before and was accustomed to the layout.

Sunghoon’s brothers joined them in the living room, and the atmosphere quickly became lively. Jay and Ni-ki engaged with Sunjin, playing a variety of games. They rolled a soft, colorful ball back and forth, made funny faces to elicit giggles, and stacked soft blocks. Sunjin’s laughter filled the room, and his boundless energy was infectious.

As the day continued, the room buzzed with joy and camaraderie. Jay and Ni-ki’s interactions with Sunjin were natural and heartwarming, and Sunoo appreciated their ability to connect with his son. The playful activities provided a delightful distraction and filled the apartment with warmth and happiness.

After a while, Jay and Ni-ki said their goodbyes, leaving with cheerful waves and warm hugs. Sunoo felt a sense of gratitude for their kindness. The clock on the wall showed it was nearly 6 p.m., and the day had passed quickly since they had first met at the park around 3 p.m.

Sunoo mentioned that he would head back to his own apartment, as Sunjin was already asleep. To his surprise, Sunghoon decided to come along. “I’ll come with you,” Sunghoon said with a chuckle. “I’ll help you get settled.”

When they arrived at Sunoo’s apartment, the familiar surroundings provided a comforting sense of home. Sunoo led Sunghoon to the bedroom where Sunjin was peacefully sleeping in his crib. The soft glow of a nightlight cast a gentle light over the room, and the rhythmic rise and fall of Sunjin’s chest was soothing.

“We should move to the living room,” Sunoo suggested quietly, not wanting to disturb Sunjin’s rest. “I don’t want to risk waking him up.”

Sunghoon nodded in agreement. “Of course,” he said softly.

They quietly left the bedroom and settled into the living area. The space was modest but cozy, with a comfortable sofa and a few armchairs. Outside, the city buzzed with activity, but inside the apartment felt like a tranquil retreat. Sunoo and Sunghoon sank into the sofa, and the day’s events settled into a quiet reflection.

As they talked, Sunoo felt a deep sense of relief and contentment. The day had been filled with new experiences and meaningful connections. Despite the earlier stress and guilt, Sunoo found comfort in Sunghoon’s presence and the positive interactions with his family. The evening promised a quieter end, and Sunoo was grateful for the support and companionship.
