Sunghoon's patience had reached its limit. The constant avoidance from Sunoo had been excruciating, each encounter fraught with a silent barrier that seemed to grow thicker with every passing day. Yesterday, Sunoo had ignored him completely, and today Sunghoon decided to take decisive action.

He arrived at Sunoo’s apartment with a determined stride. The dim hallway felt oppressive, but Sunghoon’s resolve was unwavering. He had reached his limit. When he knocked on the door, Sunoo’s immediate response was to open it without hesitation, revealing a face etched with weariness.

Sunoo’s surprise quickly turned into alarm as he attempted to close the door, but Sunghoon was already through the threshold. Sunoo’s eyes widened in a mix of anger and fear, his hands going to the door, but Sunghoon’s presence was already in the apartment.

“What the hell!” Sunoo’s voice was a strained shout, filled with frustration.

Sunghoon, however, was focused and unyielding. He scanned the apartment and noticed the faint glow of a nightlight filtering from under a door down the hallway. Without hesitation, he moved towards it, pushing open the door to find Sunjin sleeping. The peaceful scene of the sleeping child did little to assuage the tension between them, but it gave Sunghoon a brief sense of relief. Sunjin was undisturbed, and Sunghoon knew he had a narrow window to address the issue.

Sunghoon’s gaze softened as he looked at the sleeping child. Sunjin’s tiny chest rose and fell with each breath, a symbol of the life and innocence that had become a battleground for Sunoo’s emotional turmoil. With a determined breath, Sunghoon stepped back into the main room and turned to face Sunoo, whose face was now a mask of defensive anger and betrayal.

He turned back to Sunoo, who was now trying to resist more forcefully. Sunghoon’s face was set in a grim determination. “We’re going to talk. I’m not leaving until we do.”

Sunoo attempted to fight against Sunghoon’s grip, but the strength of Sunghoon’s alpha nature was evident. The struggle was futile, and Sunoo’s resistance only seemed to make Sunghoon more resolute. Despite Sunoo’s protests, Sunghoon carefully guided him out of the apartment and into the hallway.

As they reached Sunghoon’s own apartment, Sunoo’s resistance intensified. “Stop! I don’t want to go with you!” Sunoo shouted, but Sunghoon remained focused, his resolve as unyielding as ever.

Once inside Sunghoon’s apartment, Sunghoon shut the door firmly behind them, blocking any potential escape. Sunoo was visibly distressed, his anger mounting. “What the hell!” he exclaimed, trying to push past Sunghoon. “Let me go home!”

Sunghoon’s face was a mask of frustration and determination. He knew he had to be firm. “We need to talk. I’ve had enough of your silence.”

Sunoo’s eyes flashed with hurt and defiance. “What is there to talk about? You think talking will change anything?”

Sunghoon’s heart ached at the finality in Sunoo’s tone. He took a deep breath, his voice softening but still edged with frustration. “I thought we were friends. We owe it to ourselves to at least try to understand what went wrong. I know what happened between us was a mistake. I was drunk, and I regret it, but you can’t just push me away like this.”

Sunoo’s face was flushed with anger. “I don’t want to talk."

Sunghoon’s patience was wearing thin, and his alpha instincts were driving him to push for resolution. He knew Sunoo was struggling, but he couldn’t accept being shut out entirely. “Why are you avoiding me? Is it because of your boyfriend? Is it because of your dead boyfriend that you can’t even talk to me?”

The accusation hung heavy in the air, and Sunoo’s reaction was immediate. His face contorted with a mix of fury and pain, and he raised his hand in a swift, forceful motion. The slap landed across Sunghoon’s face with a resounding crack, sending him stumbling back. Sunghoon’s cheek reddened from the impact, and he looked at Sunoo in shock, his heart pounding.

The room was thick with tension, each man grappling with their own emotions. Sunoo stood there, breathing heavily, his hands clenched at his sides. His anger was palpable, but so was his underlying sadness. Sunghoon’s own emotions were a tumultuous mix of regret and frustration.

As Sunghoon tried to process the sting of the slap, he noticed Sunoo making a move towards the door, trying to escape the confrontation. Driven by his alpha instincts and a deep-seated need to address the issue, Sunghoon acted decisively. He moved quickly, his strength allowing him to intercept Sunoo’s attempt to leave.

With a firm grip, Sunghoon gently but forcefully guided Sunoo away from the door. “We’re not done here. I need you to listen to me.”

Sunoo’s eyes were filled with a blend of anger and hurt. “I don’t want to hear it.”

Sunghoon’s voice was strained, the weight of his emotions evident. “We can’t just pretend this didn’t happen. I need you to understand that I care about you and want to work through this, even if you don’t.”

The silence that followed was heavy, charged with the weight of unresolved issues and raw emotions. Sunghoon’s alpha nature was driven by a need for resolution, but he also knew that forcing a conversation wasn’t a perfect solution. He needed to find a way to bridge the gap between them, to heal the wounds and rebuild their fractured connection.

Sunoo’s anger was slowly giving way to an exhausted resignation, his resistance faltering as he stood there, his gaze dropping to the floor. The confrontation had brought their unresolved issues to the surface, and the path to reconciliation seemed both daunting and uncertain.

“Just forget what happened, Sunghoon,” Sunoo said, his voice quivering and barely above a whisper, his eyes glistening with tears. The emotional strain of their situation was evident, each word carrying the weight of his anguish.

Sunghoon’s expression shifted from concern to a deep, emotional vulnerability as he took a step closer. “I like you. I really like you, Sunoo,” he confessed, his voice trembling with sincerity.

The confession hit Sunoo like a tidal wave. His chest heaved as he struggled to process the rush of conflicting emotions. The sudden realization of Sunghoon’s feelings both overwhelmed and terrified him. He felt a surge of panic, afraid of the intensity of his own response and the implications it carried.

Desperate to escape the turmoil within, Sunoo used every ounce of his strength to push Sunghoon away. The force of his push was enough to send Sunghoon stumbling back, causing him to fall heavily onto the floor. Sunoo wasted no time; he darted towards the door and fled Sunghoon’s apartment, leaving Sunghoon behind.

Sunghoon sat on the floor, stunned and heartbroken. The weight of his own emotions was crushing, and tears streamed down his face uncontrollably. The confession he had hoped would bring clarity and resolution now felt like a cruel twist of fate. He regretted his decision to confront Sunoo, wishing he could have stayed silent and allowed things to remain unspoken.

As he cried, Sunghoon reflected on his choices. He wished he had let Sunoo continue to avoid him, preserving the fragile semblance of normalcy. The pain of unspoken feelings and the raw emotion of the confrontation left him questioning whether confessing his feelings had been a mistake. The regret was palpable, and Sunghoon's heart ached with the realization that their relationship had reached a painful crossroads.

He felt as if he had been thrust into a storm of emotions, and now, in the aftermath of their encounter, he was left to grapple with the consequences of his actions. The hope for a future with Sunoo seemed distant and uncertain, overshadowed by the turmoil of their fractured connection.
