Chapter Ninety Four

What if.....Lucas had a long day of work and he just wanted to get back to his family? (Fluff all the way! A LITTLE bit of Angst, light though)

Been missing Fluff and some Angst tbh. Gonna take a lil break from Smut (feel like my smut writing getting stale tbh). Haven't been posting as much since I am transitioning into new work to jumpstart my career, so you won't see me on here as much as before.

Long day.

Long week actually.

Lucas is glad it is finally Friday, he is glad that the weekend is finally here since the weekdays felt like it was taking its sweet time to drag by, just to torture him alone. As he drives through the neighborhood that the whole party lives in he rubs his forehead that grows a little bit hot, blinking his eyes a little more to prevent his tiredness from overtaking him behind the wheel.

It has been about five years since the whole Vecna thing, it is still something him, Max and the whole party still struggles with everyday but learns to cope with, even being already adults and on their own. When Max awoke, she had no memory of anything, and it took a long time for her to finally remember everything, and it was hard because of her being blind during the time. But as hard as it was Lucas pushed through, because he knew no matter what he wasn't going to lose his other person again, he wasn't going to lose his other half again.

It was a long journey, but they eventually got there. And they are glad that they did.

Max and Lucas are twenty, both her and Lucas having to graduate school a little later due to the whole 'end of the world situation' as well as their trauma, Max especially because of her being blind. Her eyesight finally recovered when her eyes fully healed with treatments and medicines after constant doctor visits when she was eighteen.

The doctor visit was amazing and shocking to say the least, because not only did they find out her eyesight was going to return....

They also found out she was pregnant.

Her and Lucas were shocked to say the least, they never even talked about kids, but one thing Max has grown to learn through everything she has been through is to not take anything for granted. So despite her being absolutely terrified of becoming a mother she didn't once think about abortion or adoption, and Lucas being the amazing man that he always has been stepped up and started getting more work. It terrified them both at first but they soon realized how much their little boy was actually help them cope and made them more happier. So then the second little one came along on purpose when Max admitted she wanted another baby.

To say Sue was angry at first was an understatement, but Lucas understood why, she came from a good place. Her concern was the both of them given all that they have been through, but then she soon warmed up to the idea, and two kids later....she is absolutely ecstatic that she has grandkids.

So ecstatic to the point she is at their house almost every night for 'dinner'.

Lucas sighs a little to himself as he pulls in the driveway, seeing his parent's car already there. He rubs his eyes as he takes the keys out of the ignition, him just taking a moment to sit in his car and close his eyes.

He now works at a construction company along with Will, Mike and Dustin taking a job at a video game store after they all moved far away from Hawkins. Lucas likes the pros of the job. It keeps him in shape since he doesn't do basketball anymore, and it brings in money to help provide for Max and the kids.
