Draco's eyes jolted upwards as he saw Legolas, the prince, return. He had an armful of clothes, and Draco swiftly snatched it from his arms and held them tightly to his body. He turned up to look at Legolas, staring at him meaningfully. The Prince turned around, letting him quickly change back into his school robes. The elegant black and green left him feeling far more calm and confident than he had been up until now. He inhaled softly, letting some tension leave him. "Thank you, your highness." Draco allowed his fingers to run down the fabric of his cloak, ensuring that it was not creased and straight.
"It was no trouble, I did not want to force you into garb that you were not confortable in, and the Elvish clothing would require extensive...measurements." Draco gave a nervous smile, not wanting to be exposed any further. It had been bad enough with that stupid healer, and the fact that they touched his mark! Now he had to worry about the Dark Lord, and he found himself rather glad that they were leaving so soon. He got the feeling that he should inform the Elves of the potential danger, but that would require so much more explaining than he was able to do. He gave his shoulders a slight shake, and turned a smile to the Prince.
"We are going to leave now?" He asked. He did not want to presume, but given how the Prince had been acting, he would assume it was a rather immediate issue. Legolas nodded, affirming Draco's suspicions, and waved for Draco to follow him. He did so, rushing forwards and holding himself slightly behind the Prince. He had no idea where he was going, there was no point in trying to upstage the Prince. Furthermore, he did not want to anger him. That would definitely not suit him.
They went down several wooden stairwells that were cut into the very oak that they were living in. It was a rather interesting home, and Draco had to admit, it was very elegant as well. The entire palace was fascinating. It was gorgeous really, and Draco was well acquainted with elegance. They were, after a few dizzying turns, had finally come to the bottom of the tree. "We are going to have to be careful, particularly within the Mirkwood. As when we found you, the giant spiders have been a continual problem." Draco bit his lower lip slightly, nervous at the prospect.
Those spiders had been huge, and while he was not necessarily scared of spiders, without it wand he was quite helpless. It was annoying, and he had not been given any sort of bladed weapon to protect himself either. He knew why, they did not know him and he was technically still a prisoner. While the Dwarves may have been the originally the main prisoners, but Draco had found himself fucked over. Caught in the cross fire between Dwarves and Elves. Frustrating as ever.
"My Prince, we are on course to the fastest route to Imladris, though I cannot say we will be able to stay on course."
"The King," Draco's eyes swivled to the next Elf. "Has also allowed us supplies, and it should be enough to get us there, and the select few of us back." Legolas nodded once.
"Seperate the supplies. I do not want you leaving with not enough supplies once we reach Imladris."
"We should also ensure that you and your charge have enough to return as well." Legolas shook his head at the guard's proposal.
"Perhaps, if there is enough left, but Elrond is not the type ot send us off without resources, after all, his alliance with father hangs in the balance depending upon how well he treats myself, so I find it far more important to ensure you have the supplies needed. Now, do as I said, I do not want to repeat my orders again." Draco felt his fingers clench into his palm at the Prince's tone, but it was subtle enough that it did not draw attention, and he subtly shifted, purposefully drawing the Prince attention towards himself.
"Are we to be walking?"
"Not through the forest, we have deer,"
"Deer?" Draco allowed the question to linger, the surprise in his eyes obvious.
"Well, horses don't manage the terrain quite as well, and on top of that they are much more difficult to train and handle in a forest as thick and dense as ours." Draco nodded once as a...well he would presume they were considered a groundskeeper...brought a series of deer. Draco jolted backwards as one came up to him attempting to sniff him. The wary feel he had gotten with the hypogriffs flooded through him. He felt his fingers trembling as he stood stiffly. His eyes pleaded with Legolas to come to his aid, but the Prince merely smiled and Draco felt something crash down on him. Of course he cannot come to my aid, we are using these creatures to get out of the forest. Ignoring the fear he followed the Prince's instructions and nervously mounted the creature.
In moments they were flying through the forest, leaving Draco clentching around the neck of the creature tightly, but not tight enough to scare the creature. This was not a good situation at all.
