"Sister , sister , Where's my sanity?"

Author's pov :

Agni and Ruchi were sipping coffee and chatting about their weekend plans when Aniket walked into the cafeteria. Ruchi's eyes met Aniket's, and she felt a sudden jolt of nervousness.

Agni, oblivious to the tension, waved Aniket over. "Hey, Aniket! Join us!"

Aniket smiled and walked over, his eyes locked on Ruchi's. "Mind if I join?"

Ruchi shook her head, trying to play it cool. "Not at all."

As Aniket sat down, Agni started chatting with him about work. Ruchi listened, her mind racing with thoughts. Why did Aniket have to be here? And why did he have to be so charming?

Just then, Agni turned to Ruchi and said, "Hey, Ruchi, didn't you say you had a brother?"

Ruchi's heart skipped a beat. "Yeah...I do."

Aniket's eyes snapped to Ruchi's, a curious expression on his face. "Really? What's his name?"

Agni couldn't help but notice the tension between Ruchi and Aniket. She wondered what was going on between them. "Hey, Ruchi, everything okay?" Agni asked, concern etched on her face.

Ruchi nodded hastily, avoiding eye contact with Aniket. "Yeah, everything's fine."

Aniket's curiosity was piqued. "So, Ruchi, tell me more about your brother," he said, his eyes locked on hers.

Ruchi's eyes darted around the cafeteria, searching for an escape route. "Uh, there's not much to say."

Just then, Samar Bhardwaj walked into the cafeteria and joined their table. "Hey, guys! What's going on?"

Agni smiled, oblivious to the drama. "Just catching up, Samar. Join us!"

Samar's eyes sparkled with amusement as he listened .

Samar's eyes met Ruchi's and raised an eyebrow ,Knowing the secret she was keeping. Ruchi's eyes pleaded to him to stay silent.

By the way guys ! What's going on?" Samar asked, his eyes scanning the table.

"Not much, Samar," Agni replied, smiling. "Just catching up with Ruchi and...Aniket."

Samar's eyes landed on Aniket, and he raised an eyebrow. "Aniket, nice to meet you, man."

Aniket nodded, his eyes still narrowed slightly from watching Agni laugh at Samar's jokes. "Samar."

Ruchi jumped in, trying to steer the conversation away from Aniket. "So, Samar, how was your weekend?"

Samar launched into a story about his hiking trip, and Agni listened with wide eyes. "That sounds amazing! I've always wanted to go hiking there."

Ruchi nodded enthusiastically. "You should totally go, Agni! It's beautiful."

Aniket stayed quiet, observing the conversation. He couldn't help but feel a little left out, especially with Samar commanding Agni's attention.

As the conversation flowed, Samar glanced at Ruchi, his eyes sparkling with amusement. He knew the secret she was keeping, and he couldn't wait to see how this would all play out.
