Solana woke me up a few hours later when she was all ready. It was nearly 11 pm and I had been asleep for nearly 6 hours. I missed dinner and training with Rio. Meaning I was in for hell tomorrow or tonight if he's there at the club. I quickly went into the bathroom to wash my face and fix my hair. I put on some comfortable shoes and walked downstairs quietly to meet Solana.
Constance loved her sleep, she was never awake past 9:30 and Charlie spent his night in the office until three or four in the morning. There was a 10% chance I'd get caught. Solana was smiling mischievously as we walked out of the house and to her car. It wasn't long before we were speeding down the road with music blasting and the windows down. When we arrived there was still a long line of people waiting to get in. it rounded the corner of the building and almost reached the end of that building. Luckily since Solana was the owner of the place when we arrived we were able to walk right in with no problem and no wait.
It wasn't long after that Demetrio found us. Furious. He looked more pissed than usual and it was just a little scary.
"I thought I told you not to bring her." He barks at Solana. Even she cowered for a moment.
"Relax, nothing is going to happen. We are fine, brother. Go have fun with the whores you brought and we will just get a few drinks and go." She reasoned with him, but he still looked like he was fuming when he walked away. I raised my brows at her. "We are having more than just a few drinks." I smirk at her and follow her to the bar.
By 1 in the morning I was glad for my high alcohol tolerance. Solana was almost blacked out and I was just drunk enough to have a headache tomorrow morning. We were in the middle of the dance floor dancing with two complete strangers. They were attractive, but I wasn't interested in them. I was just enjoying how the alcohol felt in my system. How everything suddenly didn't matter. Not even Demetrios' glare was able to disturb my fun.
"Do you want to get another drink?" Solana slurs over the music. I nod my head and we walk over to the bar again for the hundredth time tonight. I was suddenly startled when I felt a body behind me causing me to tense up. Solana leaves when our vodka cranberries are given to us but not before sending a wink my way. I look over my shoulder to find Demetrio watching me.
"You know there's something called personal space." I tell him over the loud music moving away from him. He gives me an unamused look. I take a sip of my drink through the small straw and watch him.
"What are you playing at Magnolia?" He asks seriously.
I roll my eyes, "Nothing," I semi-yell out of frustration. "I just wanted to get out and have fun. I wanted to forget for even just a moment that I am quite literally staying somewhere I am unwanted, just because the people who created me owe you money." He watches me. I couldn't read him. No matter how hard I tried.
"Get Sol. We're leaving." He instructs. I down the rest of my drink before walking over to Solana. I tell her that we're leaving and help her walk over to Demetrio and his friend. Solana watches me for a few seconds before looking over at Rio.
"What happened?" She asks no one in general.
"You are on the verge of passing out drunk, we're leaving." Demetrio says roughly.
"That's not what I meant." She says. We follow Rio and his friend out the club and to our cars. "I can't drive." Solana says hiccuping.
"Magnolia you drive, use the map on Solana's phone." Rio instructs, I shake my head.
"I can't."
"You can't what?" He asks frustrated out of his mind. Maybe it was because of my drunk state but in the moment I just wanted to cry. I hated feeling like all I did was annoy people and burden them.
