Walking into the dorms, I was immediately met with a wave of warm congratulations from my classmates. The lounge was buzzing with energy, everyone seemingly in high spirits. Streamers hung haphazardly from the ceiling, and a banner that read "CONGRATS, (Y/N)!" was draped across the wall.
"Wait, how did you guys know?" I asked, a mix of surprise and curiosity in my voice as I scanned the room, noting the enthusiastic faces of my friends.
"Aizawa told us in advance," Izuku replied, grinning sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Yeah," Mina agreed, stepping forward with a mischievous glint in her eye, "so we could prepare this." With a dramatic flourish, she pulled out a bag from behind the couch and produced several bottles of various alcohols, setting them down on the coffee table.
"We're celebrating tonight!" Denki screamed, raising his hands in the air as if he had just scored the winning point in a game.
I couldn't help but laugh at their enthusiasm. "But you guys haven't even passed yet," I said, trying to suppress my amusement.
"So?" Mina shot back, her grin widening. "We'll just do this again after we pass!"
Everyone burst out laughing, the sound echoing throughout the dorm. The atmosphere was light, the tension from the exams momentarily forgotten. Even though they hadn't taken the test yet, my friends were eager to celebrate my victory, and I couldn't help but feel touched by their support.
"Alright, alright," I said, holding up my hands in mock surrender, a playful grin on my face. "Let me shower first." I glanced around at the familiar, eager faces of my friends, feeling a surge of warmth and appreciation. Their excitement was contagious, and I couldn't wait to join in the celebration.
I headed upstairs, feeling the weight of the day's events slowly melt away with each step. The stress of the provisional license exam had left me physically and mentally drained, but there was something exhilarating about knowing I had passed. The future felt wide open, full of possibilities.
Once inside my room, I quickly grabbed a towel and some fresh clothes—a pair of comfortable shorts and one of Kats hoodies. The shower was exactly what I needed. As the hot water cascaded over my body, I closed my eyes and let it wash away the remnants of the day's tension. My mind drifted back to the exam, replaying the moments of struggle, the surge of adrenaline, and the overwhelming relief when I had finally succeeded.
After drying off, I slipped into my fresh clothes, feeling lighter and more relaxed. My damp hair hung loose around my shoulders as I made my way back downstairs. The sound of laughter and conversation greeted me before I even reached the bottom step.
In the kitchen, Mina and Denki were busy mixing drinks, their heads close together as they debated the perfect combination of flavors. "This one's gonna be epic," Denki declared, his eyes bright with excitement as he poured some colorful liquids into a shaker.
Mina glanced up and grinned when she saw me. "Perfect timing, (Y/N)! We were just about to test our latest creation. Wanna join?"
"Why not?" I replied, walking over to the counter where they were working. Denki handed me a shot glass filled with a vibrant, glowing concoction. I couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. "Here's to... whatever this is," I said with a smile, raising the glass.
"To passing your exam!" Mina cheered, clinking her glass against mine.
We all took the shot together, the liquid burning pleasantly as it went down. The sweetness hit first, followed by a surprisingly smooth aftertaste that left a warmth in my chest.
