▶️ship to wreck - florence and the machine

"don't touch the sleeping pills, they mess with my head

dredging of great white sharks, swimming in the bed

and here comes a killer whale, to sing me to sleep

thrashing the covers off, has me by its teeth"

THE MISSION WAS FUCKED. THE WORLD WOULD END AND THE OWNER OF THE EYE WAS STILL A COMPLETE ENIGMA.
Five had stormed out of the institution like a moody ass teenager who wasn't allowed the keys to his mom's car. Samara had never seen him and felt so stressed- she knew there was something the boy wasn't telling anyone and was only a matter of time before she found out. He was wracked with guilt and fear and pressure and Samara was now subject to it. Five, distraught about whatever the hell he was worried about, and Samara, who was now unwillingly empathizing, were reserved, hadn't said a word since they left the office as Klaus kept on saying words that had no importance to them whatsoever.

"We were SO good in there, oh my god. When I was like "what about my consent, though? Bitch" and Sammie was all like "HIT ME AGAIN" I swear I felt my lollipop...pop," Samara grimaced at his words, immediately looking to see if he did indeed get hard but she was drawn back by Five who was now speaking to her, "What is it exactly that you do? You made the glass break at Griddy's, you made the tree grow around him?" the boy raised a brow, conflicted as to what exactly the girl did because he was aware she had powers from Vanya's book but she never cared to mention what. "Oh uhh I can like grow shit," she was tired of having to explain the extended list of abilities she had to people- it would've been easier if she just walked around with a terms and conditions list in hand so she could just give to people.

The air was crisp after finally having left the building- it grew stuffy in the office after Klaus' third punch. Five nodded, ruminating with himself, not fully satisfied with her answers because he knew damn well she was capable of more.

Sammie could only imagine what his brain looked like:  a maze of thoughts akin to a brewing storm. Every time be made a connection or formed an idea, a lightning bolt illuminated the dark corners of his psyche, weaving the intricate web of his intellect. Five was a calculated prick, his mind a chessboard, a battleground of morals and principles.
Now, if she were to hold the same introspection for Klaus, all she'd be able to tell you is that half of his brain had been fried from all the shit he takes and the other half had been divided into sectors like: sex, Sammie and of course the distress resulted from the ghosts plaguing that final part of his mind.

"Klaus, it doesn't matter," Five snarked, his lips pulled into a lour. Samara had taken a seat on the steps, tuning out of the conversation. Her mind cast back to the SWAT douches from Griddy's and she searched her memory, trying to remember anything that could maybe explain why they had been looking for her for so long. She vaguely remembered a marble building, a woman and a note. But everything was too fuzzy for her to piece anything together.

"Oh, come on! You need to lighten up old man... Hey, you know, I've just now realised why you're so uptight, you must be horny as hell," Samara was seated on the steps, appeared lost in thought. Her fingers absentmindedly traced the worn edges of the polished steps, the smooth textures grounding her in the present even as her mind wandered. Her eyes, though distant, occasionally flickered with a spark of recognition as she tried to piece together her fragmented memories.

Klaus, on the other hand... His disheveled appearance spoke volumes about his current state of mind. His clothes were rumpled, and his hair, a matted mess; it framed his face in a chaotic halo. The smell of alcohol and something more pungent clung to him, a testament to his vices. His eyes, though bloodshot, held a mischievous glint as he teased Five, a smirk playing on his lips.
