The beginning of the end (gacha story)

Chapter 1: The start of an exhaustive day

Present day:

It was just another day in the bored household. Chaos, mischief, funny moments. The fundamentals of that household that held it together. "Slow down!" a girl yelled as a boy ran around the house with her phone. "In your wet dreams!" He yelled back. They both chased each other around the house even though it was barely 7am. Unexpectedly, a door slams open, revealing a very exhausted and sleep deprived bored. She starts glaring at the duo running back and forth through the house. "Who the f#ck runs around in the morning when people haven't woken up yet...?" She mutters. Raising her hand, orange strings shoot out towards the duo, wrapping them up like little christmas presents.

The duo's eyes widen in shock and stare at bored's irritated face. They both nervously sweat, as if they were going to perish right then and there. "B-Bored, w-we're sorry man... we didn't mean to wake you up!-", however, the boy is immediately shut down with an intense glare for her. "Shut up... you guys know I hate being woken up so early..." The girl looks guilty for waking her up so early. "I-I'm sorry... I shouldn't have shouted or done anything to wake you up bored. We're both sorry." She says with a sympathetic look in her eyes. Bored analyses the look, seeing if she truly meant it or not. With a sigh, she releases the duo and asks them to walk along, with the duo quickly scrambling out of the house.

Footsteps are heard behind bored as a slight chuckle fills the room. "Morning sleepyhead, didn't expect you to be 'this' grumpy today." Bored's eye twitches in irritance at the comment, she had to deal with two annoying brats and didn't have the patience to deal with another annoying person. "Shut up, I don't have time to deal with your remarks." She uttered. Another chuckle escapes his mouth, as if he's mocking her annoyance, "Oh don't be like that, I'm just trying to lighten the mood!". She turns towards him with a glare which doesn't surprise him at all since she does this almost everyday, "Tch, and is that what you think of as "lightening the mood" in your eyes GB?".

GB bored chuckles once more, his mocking smile not faltering by a little, "I mean, you can think of it your way. I'm just here to give a daily dose of myself so that you don't go insane." "I think I'd rather go insane that deal with your f#cking ass GB." She quickly replies which doesn't faze him at all. He then pats bored's back and says goodbye because he needs to attend to something, leaving bored alone in the corridor. She yawns as the exhaustion catches up to her slowly. She could go to bed or go to the kitchen and have a nice cup of coffee. The decisions are tough for her as she wants to go rest again but also wants her caffeine boost for the day.

Creator walks by, having just woken and was getting ready for school. She noticed bored's tired expression which didn't faze her much but it did bother her a tiny bit since she knows that bored doesn't sleep all that much. She walks up to bored, tapping her shoulder and looking slightly concerned. "Are you ok bored? You seem a bit distracted or thinking about something." Bored glances down at creator's face and gives a small smile, "I'm fine creator. I'm just thinking about what to do." She chuckles slightly as a way to joke it off, but creator doesn't buy it. "You're thinking about running on no sleep again, aren't you?" she states blatantly. Bored looks down at the ground a bit conflicted, she admits that she was going to end up surviving with no sleep again which makes creator sigh with annoyance. "Bored, you of all people should know that a lack of sleep is really bad for you, especially when you do it constantly."

Bored nods, showing that she agrees with this statement. "I know, I-I just wanted to power through the day. Who knows what will happen if I'm not there to step in for the others?" She looks a bit guilty for neglecting her own health for her friends. Creator shows another sympathetic look towards bored. She understands that she wants the best for her friends, acting as a mediator and making sure everyone is ok. But she can't do that if she hasn't rested enough. She looks into bored's exhausted eyes with a sparkle and holds her hand.

"I'm not letting you risk your health for others, I get you're a selfless person but you really need sleep. I don't even want to remember all the times you've passed out from your lack of sleep, let alone your insomnia issues." Bored acknowledges her words, letting them sink into her mind and making a decision. "Alright fine, I'll go and rest, just promise me the others don't cause too much trouble. I'd hate to see them rip each other apart over something pointless." Creator giggles at her comment, reassuring bored that she'll do her best to make sure they don't harm each other. With that, bored turns and heads for her room as creator sighs with relief that bored listened for once.

She walks down the corridors to enter the main room but something catches her eye in the bathroom mirror. Creator enters the bathroom to investigate and shuts the door behind her in case anything happens. An ominous glow red glow lights up the small, darkened room, giving a creepy yet reassuring feel to the environment. "Huh? What's that?" Creator questions herself. She slowly approaches the light, hearing a small voice from it saying 'come closer', promising her great gifts and power that'd be beyond unimaginable. She reaches in for the dimly lit light and is about to touch it when the door swings open. "Creator! There's a fight going on between Glitch and GB again!" one of her friends, Galaxy, yells. She sighs with annoyance, completely forgetting about the light and prepares herself to break up the fight.

As the bathroom door creaks when pushed, the light slowly flickers, as if angry that creator didn't touch it. It slowly forms into a human in the form of red smoke, looking at themselves in the mirror. They express their anger towards themselves even without a mouth. Soon, the smoke thinks of another plan as they dissolve into nothing, leaving the bathroom dark and ominous once more.
