Chapter 2

Sean's pov

I sit up, and look to my side. I see Bee, hugging my arm.

Sean: It did make me feel better.

I kiss her hair, and walk into the living room, and write a note.

"I'm going to go see my new boss, I'll be back by the end of the day. Love, Sean."

Sean: Is that cringe? Who cares...

I open the door and see Lucifer standing right outside the house.

Sean: Uh... hey.

Lucifer: Hey, kid!

Sean: I... guess it's time to start work.

Lucifer: Oh no, you'll be training today!

Sean: What?

Lucifer: The citizens of Hell hit way harder than all those humans you've fought combined. You'll need to learn how to outsmart your opponent! Unless you have a death wish and want a very bloody miserable end.

Sean: Alright, where am I training?

He snapped his fingers and we appear in front of a castle.

Sean: Oh... shit, is this-

Lucifer: Yep, it's my castle. I called my daughter, Charlie, over earlier just so the two of you can get more acquainted! 'Cause, y'know, you're also gonna be a bodyguard for her and the hotel she's running.

Sean: She has a hotel? That's... Nice, I hope is the correct word?

Lucifer: Yep! And it's to redeem sinners.

He turns back to the door.

Lucifer: It's her life's work.

His tone and expression saddened a bit at the end.

Sean: Uh, sir-

Lucifer: Welp, anyways!

He shoves the doors open, and we walk through the halls. Paintings of Him, his daughter, and, who I assume to be, Lilith are plastered everywhere. Also a lot of rubber ducks.

Charlie: Dad!

Lucifer: Charlie!! There's my girl!

They hug. Lucifer then perks up. He pulls me over, and wraps an arm around my shoulders.

Lucifer: Oh, you haven't met Sean yet! Charlie, this is Sean! He's a human!

Charlie freezes.

Lucifer: Sean, this is Charlie, my wonderful daughter and Princess of Hell!

Sean: U-uh, hi, it's nice to meet you.

I hold out my hand.

Charlie: No way this is happening...

Charlie jumps up, and shakes my hand rapidly.

Charlie: It's so cool to meet a human, l've never seen one in person.

Sean: U-um, thanks? Nice to meet you.

Lucifer: Charlie, Sean will be the bodyguard of your hotel, and most of the royals in hell, including me.

Charlie: Y-you're getting a human for that? But I already have- oh never mind! Welcome to Hell! Even if you aren't an official resident yet...

*i chuckled*

Sean: You are quite the innocent young lady aren't you? I guess my normal life wasn't very... favorable, so this change of things may spice it up.

Lucifer: Let's just say, it's a fun experiment.
