A Valentine's Day To Remember

Chapter 3

"I'm going for it", Sam thought to himself. Before Sam could make another move, as if reading 

his mind, Paige kissed Sam. After the kiss, Sam blushed because it felt very wrong but at the 

same time felt very right. Without a moments notice, Paige looked at Sam and blurted out, 

"Sam, I love you". Just as Paige blurted out her love for Sam, Valerie called Sam's phone.

"Oh great, what can I do for you Valerie?", Sam asked with a tinge of heartbreak in his voice.

As Sam walked away to talk to Valerie, Paige ran to the girls bathroom and started cry 

hysterically. "What have I done", Paige asked herself trying to calm down. Sam had come 

back from his phone call with Valerie and had noticed that Paige wasn't where Sam had last 

been with her. "Paige was just here, I'll go look for her", Sam said while fearing the worst. 

Upon walking past the girls bathroom, Sam heard the sound of Paige crying. He raced in and 

got down on the ground and held her. "Paige, sweetheart are you okay?", Sam asked. Paige 

looked up at Sam and wiped her eyes. "I'm okay Sam, I got scared cause I put myself out there 

and was afraid of what you'd say", Paige explained while tears were still falling down her cheek.

Sam looked at Paige and explained that he's always had this feeling for her but hasn't said 

until now, Sam went in for a kiss from Paige and said, "I'd like you to go out with me Paige". 

Little did Paige know, Valerie was on the other side of the door and had heard everything that 

Sam and Paige had said to each other. In a furious rage, Valerie slammed the bathroom door 

open and started screaming at Sam. "What the hell Sam, I show up for a goddamn visit and I 

find you with Paige?", Valerie yelled. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, let's back up the bus here Valerie, let's 

not forget that I called you after you moved and you had decided to see whoever the hell he is", 

Sam argued. "And furthermore Valerie, I just agreed with Paige that we would start seeing each 

other romantically", Sam protested. Valerie couldn't believe what she had heard and stormed 

out of the girls bathroom in a huff. Sam helped Paige off of the floor and walked her out of the 

girls bathroom. "I'm sorry you had to see that Paige", he said. Paige put her arm around Sam's 

shoulder and agreed that it was now time for them to go home. As Sam walked Paige home, 

they talked about how the things they had in common and talked about how happy they were

to start dating. Sam had mentioned how he was afraid of getting hurt again and that he wanted

to give Paige everything that he possibly could. Paige blushed and said "I promise with every 

fiber of my being that I will never hurt you and you don't have to get me everything to make me 

happy", she told him lovingly. As Sam and Paige got closer to Sam's house, he looked at Paige 

and said "I spoke to your mom and asked if you could stay over tonight". Paige's mom had 

agreed to Paige staying at Sam's house because it was really late and Sam didn't want her 

going home alone in the dark.  Once Sam and Paige arrived at his house, Sam opened the 

door for Paige and walked inside behind her. "We're home Mom", Sam said, and went upstairs 

with Paige.  As they got ready for bed, Sam explained that in order to feel like Valerie loved him, 

he had to buy her all these fancy materialistic items. "You'd never have to do that with me Sam",

Paige reassured him. "Goodnight my perfect sweet girl", Sam said to Paige. "Goodnight my 

handsome prince", Paige replied. Sam kissed Paige and fell asleep with her in his arms.
