As Cora made the greenies sandwich, she looked out of the kitchen to see gally barking orders at all of the builders for acting so careless while he was gone. she chuckled at his actions as she went back to making the sandwich.
when she was done, she walked over to the slammer where the greenie was located. as she knelt down on the ground, she frightened the boy, making him jump back in fear. "im sorry, greenie. I didn't mean to spook, ya. the names Cora." she smiled at the boy, as if realisation dawned on her as to why she was there in the first place, "I made you a sandwich. thought you might be hungry." he nodded his head in eagerness.
she handed it to the boy as he started eating at a fast pace, "what is this place?" he asked the blonde headed girl with food in his mouth. she sighed, knowing it wasn't her place to tell the boy, "I can't exactly tell you much. that's alby's job. shuck, im not even supposed to be here right now. im supposed to be with Minho and ben in the maze. were the runners. ill let newt or alby explain to you what that is. I wanted to be here to check up on you and make you feel welcomed. even though being in the slammer probably doesn't make you feel that way." she sighed as he nodded his head at her.
he frowned, "what's a runner? and what do y'all do?" she frowned once again, "okay, I would love to tell you, but I really should leave it to.." she trailed off as alby started walking towards them.
"for alby. yeah. you've mentioned that to me already." the boy muttered in response as she got up to greet alby.
the leader eyed her suspiciously, "I thought you were supposed to be with Minho and ben, right about now." he frowned at the blonde headed girl as he put his hands on his hips.
"yes..I was. but Minho said it was alright to go meet the greenie. I wanted to make him feel welcomed here. it won't help that he's here in the slammer, though."
"well.." the leader sighed, "if it was alright with Minho, its alright with me. for the time being go help someone else. or go find newt and tell him to come over here so I can introduce him to the greenie." before the girl could walk away he pointed back at her, "the next time you guys go out there, your going with them."
"aye, aye, captain." the girl smiled at the bald headed leader as she walked off to go find newt and then walk over to where chuck was so she could talk to him and see how he liked the new greenie.

after cora told newt to go over to alby and the new greenie. she took off to go find chuck. it was her mission after all. as she found him in the garderns helping some of the graders there, she brought him up to the homestead where she slept.
that's where the people who weren't new slept. she was kind of still new, but she stayed there because gally insisted on her staying there.
he didn't want any of the gladers getting any ideas. alby agreed and so did newt and minho.
"so, chuck, how are you liking the new greenie? gally doesn't like him." the girl frowned at the conversation she had with the boy only minutes prior.
the boy smiled at her, "yeah, well, gally doesn't really like anyone except for you, alby, minho and newt. i'm not surprised that he doesn't like the new greenie. he doesn't exactly like me.."he trailed off. i knew what he was going to say. he had tried to hammer something together for alby but that just ended up with alby trying to help him and then chuck, missing and slamming the hammer down onto gallys hand. it bled a lot that day.
"yeah, well, gallys just stubborn." she laughed. "gallys always been stubborn. he only really listens to you without getting mad." chuck pointed out.
"what? no he doesn't? does he?"
"yes. he does, cora. your just too oblivious to see it like the rest of us can." chuck shrugged his shoulders.
"it's because we're closer. that must be the reason." cora announced as she saw the builder smile and wave at her. as quickly as he did that he started yelling at everyone around him.
"sure, cora, sure." chuck patted cora on the back as he went back to his job.
"well, believe what you want." cora mumbled to no one in particular.

i changed a few words in this chapter. so if you've already read this the only part i changed was what cora and chuck were talking about it. i changed up the words because i didnt want their convo to be as short as it was to begin with.
i'm going to watch the movie since i'm going off of that. im going to watch the whole thing first then come back and write some chapters.
i hope you guys liked this chapter. there hasn't really been much of gally and cora but ill make sure to make a chapter with them before the whole thing goes down.
