The day when my brothers would become vampires had arrived, and a big part of me wished to end their suffering by just staking Katherine. But I knew that could cause Niklaus Mikaelson to become angered seeing as he has all but claimed the right to her death.

Either way that night everything turned for the worse. I had been at home working on some paperwork, unaware that tonight was the night everything would be changing.

"You always were my favorite," Katherine Peirce mused from behind me causing me to spin around as I gained to my feet. "And even more so since you never once gave into my seduction. But now it's time for me to go, and I wanted to leave you with a gift."

I didn't even get a chance to move away before she was in my face with her bloody wrist shoved into my mouth as she forced fed me her blood. I all but gagged on it as I tried to shove it away from me, but it was too late.

"Come find me in a few centuries my lovely prince," Katherine whispered lovingly as she dragged me unwillingly into a kiss before snapping my neck.

It would be her face that would be the last thing I saw as my eyes slid closed for the last time as a human. I wouldn't know until when I awoke confused that she had placed another ring, with my first initial, onto my left ring finger along with having taken the vervain necklace to replace it with a daylight necklace as well.

I awoke confused and with my emotions and senses heightened and even then, I didn't get a moment to remember or gather my thoughts as a bleeding wrist was once again shoved into my mouth and the new vampire instincts kicked in.

When I finally had drained the person dry, I was able to realize Katherine had compelled the woman, that my father had planned to wed me to, to form an alliance with the Fells, to feed me her blood to complete the turn.

"You didn't even sleep with her," another feminine voice scoffed.

I flashed to the corner of my room fangs bared as I took in Emily Bennett from where she stood near the door with a scathing look. God was this witch just as judgmental, and a hypocrite at that, compared to that of her future descendant of Bonnie Bennett.

"Yet it was you she wanted most even over the other two. She even had me make you two daylight protection objects in case you ever have one taken."

"Where are my brothers?" I demanded with a growl as I fought to control my heightened emotions.

"Nearby," Emily answered with a roll of her eyes. "This will be the last you will see of me. And if you were wise you would leave as well seeing as the one Katherine is running from has become interested of Mystic Falls."

"I'll take that into account," I ground out as I finally gained a bit of control that had my face returning to normal and my fangs fading.

"I thank you for the daylight protections."

When Stefan and Damon finally came back to the house it was in search of me and when I finally saw them it took everything in me to not lunge and rip their hearts out. It was because of them in a way that Katherine wanted me. At least that is what I told myself as I ignored the last conversation Katherine had with me before she snapped my neck.

"Hello brothers," I offered with a bitter smile as I held my arms out wide as if inviting them in for a hug before letting them drop back to my sides. "Do you even realize what you have done? What your obsession with one woman has done?"

"Were you sleeping with her to?" demanded Stefan.

He should have kept his mouth shut. Because it was that one question that snapped the small amount of control, that I had been able to gain over the last three days as I awaited their return to home.

"No," I snarled hand wrapped firmly around his throat as I flashed us forward until his back slammed into the wall. "Unlike the two of you idiots I have been focused solely onto my studies and paperwork. I was even already betrothed to Cassidy Fell!"

"Then how are you a vampire?" Damon questioned with a scoff.

And oh, how I had hoped he would ask that, after all what better way to tear apart his world as he had done to mine, then tell him the woman he loved did this to me?

"Katherine Peirce," I sneered as I tossed Stefan to the side as I turned to face the both of them fangs bared in a parody of a smile. "She appeared here three days ago and forced fed me her blood before she snapped my neck. What happened after that to her I am unaware."

"Your lying," Damon snarled flashing toward me.

But that was the thing, we were at equal strength.

"I saw her get taken with the rest to be imprisoned at Fell's church before Father shot Stefan and me! She is dead. So, how could she have been the one to turn you?!"

"I have no reason to lie," I shouted raising my voice for the first time in my life causing Damon to jerk back. "Rid yourself of the rose-tinted glasses brother, because you were fooled and used by a vampire. And now thanks to the two of you. We are all vampires."

"I'm sorry," Stefan pleaded moving toward me until I held up a hand to stop him.

I didn't know what to feel, and at the moment everything was heightened, leaving me confused on forgiving the brothers I have done everything for or leaving them behind before I ripped their hearts out.

"Please Levi..."

"We need to learn control," I sighed shoulders slumping. "And honestly too many have seen the both of you being shot. So, you need to leave while I do damage control here."

"How will you do that?" Damon wondered blue eyes so like mine looking sad and broken.

"I have already started," I answered with a mirthless laugh.

Because even though they had caused this, they were still my brothers, and I would do everything in my power to keep them safe. Even at the risk of my own happiness and health to make sure it comes about.

"The Council knew I was home doing paperwork when everything happened. So, I have given them the last batch of vervain that exists in Mystic Falls and once that has faded from their systems, I will compel them to forget the truth. I am playing the long game, but I refuse to leave our home until I have to. And by then I will have those loyal to me here to take over things until it is safe for me to return."
