Talons of twilight

✿~Chapter 5~✿

After a good day of nonstop flying, they finally reached the Kingdom of the Sea. They landed on a small island with a wacky hut. "This is the place?" The leader asked.

"Yeah it's not much. I built it when I was very young." Quartz said shyly.

"And we'll be staying here until summer and evergreen come?" Emerald asked.

"Yup. but you haven't seen the inside yet!!!" quartz cheered as she dashed to the door. When they entered the hut she wasn't kidding it was so nice in here! And was much bigger on the inside. The floors were made of quartz and the walls were made of all different kinds of things like shells, emeralds, jade, amethyst and maybe some gold nuggets.

"Wow," Flame said in awe.

"Well make yourselves at home, we'll be staying here for a while." quartz said.

"The guest rooms are over there," Quartz pointed at the left doors.

"Wait, should we see queen coral tomorrow?" The leader asked. They agreed and headed to the rooms to sleep. There were six doors on the left and one on the right. Then lavender remembered something about the dragon that was leading them... that was sharkbite! She headed to the room sharkbite was sleeping in and went in to talk to him.

"I'm sure you already know I'm here" Lavender whispered.

"Yeah" sharkbite said not surprised she was there. "So you can read minds?" Lavender asked. She was thinking about that prophecy she had on that day the skywings attacked.

"Yeah I can." sharkbite said. They continued talking about their nightwings powers. And when it got late they both headed off to bed. It turns out that everyone already knew that she was there. When she woke up she was greeted by her winglet.

"So when are we going to see queen coral?" Flame asked.

"We can go after breakfast," Quartz said. "But the thing is that I don't remember the way there."

"That's okay. I learned geography." sharkbite said.

We talked a little more when quartz decided to go hunting for breakfast and I agreed to go with her.

"So I figured you're an animus?" Lavender asked

Quartz paused before saying, "yeah." They chatted for a while while they gathered coconut, berries and fish before heading back to Quartz's Hut. After they ate, I enchanted Flame and Emerald to be able to breath underwater, and for flame not to boil the water when she swam. Sharkbite led them to the castle. Turns out Quartz lived far away from the kingdom of the Sea; it took them almost a day to get there. When they got there they waited at the deep palace entrance, hidden from the guard swimming around the area.

Dragons are not able to speak underwater so Quartz enchanted us all to be able to talk underwater.

"How should we do this?" Sharkbite asked.

"Ill go in first." Lavender volunteered.

"But you're a rainwing they wont let you in!" Quartz asked.

"Who said anything about going in as a rainwing" Lavender said. Lavender transformed into her seawing form like her mother had taught her. "Okay guys, Stay here!" Lavender commanded. Lavender nervously swam to the guard, and shot into the tunnel before he could see her. Lavender swam down what seemed like endless tunnels and halls. Before coming upon the Queens room. Lavender took a deep breath and opened the door.

"AT LEAST KNOCK BEFORE YOU ENTER!" Queen Coral yelled. She whipped around and froze. Then she started crying.

"Lavender?" she asked. Lavender ran up to her mother adn embraced her. "I thought you were dead!" She sobbed. "Well I was kidnapped by a skywing that is coming to attack. The seawings" lavender said in a rush.

"But the skywings cant reach the deep palace!" queen coral said.

"But they have animus magic!" lavender said.

"But we have something better queen coral said, winking at lavender.

"Remember the stories i used to tell you?" she asked.

"Yes," Lavender replied.

"Well i can lead you to paydea," she said.

"You mean its real? I knew the rainbowing part was real but the continent? Paydea is real?" Lavender ak=sked in shock.

"Well of course! Where did you think they would live? In a seacret area of Phyrria?" queen coral asked.

"Actually that's exactly what I thought." Lavender replied, embarrassed "Oh i forgot by the way I have friends here too." lavender said. "Is it okay if i let them in?" lavender pleaded.

Queen coral thought for a moment before saying, "sure." Lavender walked out of the room and then swam to the entrance as fast as she could.

"Guys, let's go!" lavender commanded.

"Okay okay geez!" Quartz said.

"And NO RUNNING," lavender said. They nodded and swam off to the queen's room. "I'm back," Lavender said as she knocked on the door.

"Come in." Queen coral said. Quartz hid behind flame and emerald Then, Queen coral's jaw dropped and she hugged sharkbite. Lavender tilted her head the way she did when she was confused. She had a million Questions! She had other siblings? Queen Coral must have seen lavender's face because she said, "you disappeared before sharkbite was born so you never got to meet him. And before you and sharkbite i had a daughter named quartz who also disappeared. Lavender tilted her head even further than turned to where Quartz was hiding.

Then queen coral walked over to where quartz was hiding and hugged her. "Now i need you three to tell me why you dissapeared" She asked, raising her eyebrow. Lavender told queen coral about how she was kidnapped by the skywing that was going to attack the seawings, and she heard the stories of how Quartz got lost looking for shells and was so young that she dident remember htat she could have used her magic, and how sharkbite was kidnapped by a mudwing and was being watched at every second and never thought of using magic to escape.

"Why don't you all stay for awhile" Queen Coral asked.

"Umm okay but just for a day," lavender said with a smile. Lavender showed her friends where the special guest rooms were then made her way to her old room. It looked untouched! Except for the heavy amount of dust everywhere. She snuggled up in her nest and fell asleep.

Lavender woke up to the sound of yelling. Lavender didn't like when adult dragons yelled. It was very loud and it startled her. Lavender got up to see what all the noise was when she found the skywing she threw off the cliff. "You," they hissed at the same time.

"How are you not dead?" Lavender asked. The dragon gave a small chuckle

"Because..." the dragon started. "I'm an animus you doofus," the skywing said as she shoved the guards holding her. Lavender laughed. Even though the skywing was an animus, she stood no chance against lavender and her friends.

The skywing looked confused and raised an eyebrow. She probably tried to cast a spell on her but lavender was prepared. Lavender laughed again. "It's not funny!" the skywing spat. Lavender tried her best to stop laughing.

Lavender turned to the guards on the floor and helped them up. "Send her to the dungeons," lavender commanded "please," The guards nodded and dragged her away.

"You will regret this" the skywing snapped.

"Oh will i?" Lavender asked in a teasing tone. As soon as the skywing left she started laughing she then turned to go to her room and get some more sleep.

Lavender woke to someone smacking her with their tail.

"Owwww, stop!!! Im getting up now," lavender groaned.
