Since I am... er... I was the best in the state, the cheer coach at Elmloore decided to let me try out for the season. The whole cheer squad was going to evaluate me and either put me on their JV or varsity.
I walked into the gymnasium (which is bigger than my whole house) and walked over to the mats. I set my bag down and put on my cheer shoes. I went to go do some running passes and that when I saw her, Satan. I was right, she does play a sport... my sport. I started out with some of the basics. I did a few running back handsprings, I did some toe touches into a back tuck, and I did my roundoff back handspring back tuck.
The Varsity squad was now in the gym, they took seats in the bleachers and turned on some music.
"Alright, I want you to do the very best that you can" coach Brown spoke with a humble voice. I could already hear Clare speaking I her cronies.
"I bet she can't even do her layout"
"Ha she probably can't even do a good front handspring"
With that I went to the edge of the mat. I counted in my head, five-six-seven-eight-one, and with that I did my roundoff/ back handspring/ tuck/ full. When I finished I did a high rebound and walked over to the awestruck coach and squad.
"Coach Brown, uhh could you give us a minute to discuss" a short girl with shoulder length, blonde hair said.
"Yeah, yeah. Of course"
I walked away and got some water even though I wasn't thirsty. I was checking my phone when out of the blue I head a shriek.
"WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!! SHE ISNT GETTING THAT. SHE JUST GOT HERE!"
"You're the only one who objects. So yes, she gets the spot" I liked that little blonde.
The girls ran over to me, all except Satan. They were screaming incoherent words. Shorty finally told me that I had got top spot. I was captain. I was now going to have to come up with a plan for our competitions.
Looks like Satan just got a reality check. Someone is finally better than her, and that someone happens to be me.
