Jang Woo slowly opened his eyes. Je looked down at himself , he was shirtless and his arm was in a sling.   There was a  woman in the room who had   brown hair.

"You're awake?" She asked.

Woo tried to sit up but his entire body was in pain .

"Do not strain yourself."

"how did I get here ?"

"My grandmother had found you  by the shore of the lake "

When she turned , Woo saw the bandages wrapped around her eyes confirming his intial thought about her being blind.

"You're still very weak , you haven't recovered." She firmly said.

He slowly sat up , "where am I ?"

"Sari Village."

It came back to him now - the ship he has been on was raided

He looked at the blind young woman before him as she placed the cloth on his head , "your fever is going down. That's good." He watched her reach for her walking stick before leaving the room.

"What's your name?"

The young woman turned around a small smile on her face , "Mudeok."

Now

Mudeok / Naksu  awoke with a start. That wasn't a dream but it wasn't her memory either.

Was that a memory from the original owner of this body?

Was that even possible? To access the memory of the host? . The Danju never said that well he never mentioned that she would run wild and eventually petrify. It made her wonder just how many things he kept .

It had been a few days since the younger Jang had his gate of energy unlocked. The brothers had been flogged and not only that Jang Wook had been banished from ever entering Songrim again.

The flogging had caused Jang Woo's torrent to spread faster in Jang Wook's body. Hence his body temperature had moved from hot and instantly to freezing last night.

She and Woo had slept next to the younger Jang hoping to share their body heat more effectively which seemed to work because Jang Wook was no longer present on the bed .

She looked at the features of the long haired man asleep in front of her.

"He's not...that bad looking." The former asssassin murmured to herself.

Why am I even thinking such. She sat up  she instantly moved away from him as if she was on fire all of a sudden.

Woo awoke hearing the movement she caused. He opened his eyes realizing they were in Wook

Mudeok tapped his shoulder and pointed at the younger Jang who was trying to unsheathe their father's sword but unfortunately was unable to.

"To unsheathe a mages sword , you must be able to learn Rysu and channel your energy outward." Mudeok explained.

"She's right. " Woo stood up patting his shoulder , "we just unlocked your energy recently. Slowly but eventually will reach the level."

Wook stared at the sword innhjs hand , "Abeoji left it behind when he abandoned us. I want to unsheathe it so I can join Songrim like you did Hyung. I...I want to unsheathe it do I can show it to them . Is that an act of stupidity?"
