Flashback starts
Prisha sat quietly, looking at the bracelet Arjun had given her. Though they hadn’t said it out loud, it was clear from their actions that they cared deeply for each other. She was lost in her thoughts when a maid knocked on the door.
“Your father is calling you, Ma'am” the maid said softly.
Prisha knocked softly on her father's door before pushing it open. As she stepped inside, she noticed not only her father but also her brother, Priyank, standing there
"Papa, did you call me" Prisha asked
"Yes, Prisha. Come in and have a seat," her father gestured towards a chair opposite him.
"Is everything okay.You both seem a bit serious," she asked
"Prisha, we have received a very good marriage proposal for you. The family is reputable, and the boy is well-settled."
"Papa, but—"
Before she could continue, her father stopped her"It's a great alliance for you, Prisha. You will be very happy."
Gathering her courage, Prisha finally confessed"But, Papa, I am in love with someone else."
"We know you are talking about Arjun. But, Prisha, think practically. Arjun doesn't have a stable job or a secure future."Priyank said
Prisha looked pleadingly at her brother. "Bhaiya, Arjun is hardworking----
Her father sighed, trying to remain patient. "The boy you have chosen can't provide you with everything,you are used to live a luxurious life "
"Everything is not about luxurious papa.What about happiness"Prisha asked
"We ae thinking about your future, Prisha"her father said
"I don't want this alliance.My heart belongs to Arjun."Prisha said ,not backing out
"Enough, Prisha. We have made our decision. You will meet the boy's family tomorrow."
Prisha turned to leave,"I will only marry Arjun."
But her father’s words stopped her in her tracks. "You know Arjun's mother is having surgery in our hospital, and our hospital is covering the costs. I can make sure she is thrown out and no doctor will treat her."he threatened her
Tears welled up in Prisha’s eyes"Make your choice, Prisha. But remember, there will be consequences."
Prisha couldn’t hold back any longer. She fell to her knees in front of him
"Papa, please.Don’t do this to me. Don’t force me to marry someone else. Arjun and I... we love each other. Please, I am begging you, don’t take this away from us."She joined her hands infront of him
Her father looked down at her"Get up, This is for your own good."
But Prisha didn’t move. Her tears flowed freely, her sobs shaking her entire body. "I will do anything, Papa. Just don’t ruin Arjun’s life. His mother is everything to him. Don’t make her suffer"
Priyank stepped forward "Enough, Prisha," he said sternly. "This is for your own good. Arjun can’t give you the life you deserve.You will thank us one day. This is the right decision."
