In a palace like mansion was our main lead. The eldest son of the house, the Arrogant and cold CEO, the grumpy one. Ayaansh Singh Raghuvanshi.
A man who had no interest in love and marriage. A pure workoholic and gym freak.
Currently he was working out in his home gym and gaining strength to tolerate his best friend for the day, and later to attend a wedding function.(according to him) A social function, which he hated.
"Ayaansh beta, we need to go to the engagement ceremony in the evening so be prepared" informed his mother, Niharika, when he came after his workout to the living room.
"Why do I have to attend it, you all can go without me" he said in his deep voice trying to negotiate. Though he was aware he couldn't win against his mom.
"Ab agar ye hi nahi aayenge toh inke liye ladki kese dhundenge" her mother muttered slowly. (Now if he won't come, then how will we select a bride for him)
Ayaansh heard his mother mumble something but before he could ask about it " Beta, it's your cousin's engagement. If you won't attend the function then who will? And they have so heartily invited all of us we can't reject it" his mother said, convincingly.
"Fine, I am going out with Kabir right now. I'll be back by 4" Ayaansh said.
"Ask Kabir and Manvi to also join along with Adwait. Kaajal (Ayaansh's maasi/ Niharika's sister) told me to also invite them. Nowadays I can't even remember such trivial things. If I would have a daughter-in -law then such situations won't arise." said Niharika.
"Mom, not again" Ayaansh replied irritated. "Sahi toh keh rhi hai Niharika, 29 ka ho gaya hai aap agar abhi nhi karenge toh phir kab?" added his grandmother, Anuradha. (Niharika is absolutely right, you are already 29 when else are you supposed to marry? )
"Baat toh bilkul sahi hai bhai. Nahi toh ek do saal baad aap buddhe ho jaayenge" said Aarav, Ayaansh's younger brother, while laughing. Ayaansh glared his way and that was enough to shut him up immediately.
(Yes bhai, it is absolutely correct otherwise after a few years you would be too old to marry)
"He is my son, whatever he may decide upon will be good and on the best time." supported his father, Arjun. "God knows when your 'best decision' will arrive." said Niharika.
"Aap Khud bhi buddhe hi the jab apne Shaadi ki thi ab inki toh Shaadi abhi karaye de, nahi toh Baad me inki bhi biwi sochengi ki kis buddhe aadmi se Shaadi ho gayi!" remarked Niharika.
(You were also old when you got married to me, atleast get him married now or else later his wife will also wonder that where she got stuck with an old man.)
Arjun gasped." You thought I was old!!? "
"Abhi bhi hai hi aap" Niharika murmured slowly, shrugged her shoulders and walked towards the dinning table while Arjun trailed behind her seeking for answers.
