"Akari?"

My eyes open in an instant.

Infront of me is Kakashi fully dressed and ready to go.

"We should head out soon." He says.

"Right." I say finding my bag.

I begin to stuff it with my small amount of clothes and a few other things.

I rub my hands on my pockets and belt looking for my knife.

"This is quite unique."

I look up to see him holding up my knife.

I hold my hand out for it.

"I think I'm gonna hold onto it. For safe keeping." He says his eyes scrunching up as he smiles.

I sigh and grab my pack.

I look around the little cabin that I had been living in.
Taking it all in before I go.

I lead, taking Kakashi the way with the least mud.

We reach the main road and he pulls his mask up to cover his face.

"Now I got it from here." He says.

He pulls a scroll out and summons a small dog.

"Pakkun can you lead us back to the village?" He asks the dog.

"I suppose." The dog replies.

"Who's this broad?" He asks looking at me.

"This is Akari. She helped me." Kakashi says.

The little dog nods and then starts walking.

"Are you friends with all puppies?" I ask Kakashi.

He gives a small chuckle.
"Pakkun is one of my ninja dogs. But I do seem to have a good connection with animals."

"Akari you did a nobel deed in protecting Kakashi." Pakkun says.

"I just happened to find him. It was chance really." I say.

"Hmm I've never been one to believe in chance." Pakkun says and walks a little faster.

...

"I think here is alright to stay for the night." Kakashi says finding a flat spot of ground.

"If the weather stays clear and we continue this pace we should arrive in the evening tomorrow." Pakkun says.

"Try to get some rest, Akari." Kakashi says handing me a blanket.

I don't sleep. I just close my eyes. And listen to Kakashi's faint humming.
