I'm in my own world training. I rest my hand on the tree.

I see something in my peripheral vision.

"Lee." I say with a smile.

He walks over to me.

"Sensei your hands are bleeding." He tells me.

"Ah I'm alright. And you can just call me Akari, I'm not a teacher." I say.

"Well I hope you wouldn't mind teaching me something like that." He says and motions to the indents on the tree.

"Maybe another time." I say and give him a smile.

"May I wrap your hands? I do it quite well." He says.

"Uh sure." I say.

He pulls out some bandages and wraps them slowly.

"Kakashi Sensei has been watching you train." He says lowly.

"You seem surprised?" He adds.

"Yeah."

"Do you think you're dangerous? Is that why you train so far?" He asks.

"I don't want to be in the way. That's all." I say.

I look down at the bandages and see the blood already soaking in.

"I will see you later." He says leaving.

I walk out of the clearing and find a fallen tree to sit on.

I wiggle my fingers and remember a moment of a memory.

That day the rain was falling so heavily you couldn't see far in front of you.

"Today we will crown a champion." One of the older teenagers says.

I look to my left at the waiting fighters then my right at the growing pile of bodies.

It starts.

I'm in the middle of the line.

I try to look away when one of the others screams out.

A younger leader holds my chin and forces me to watch. I start to feel sick.

The rain is supercharged and it feels almost as if I'm drowning.

I shove off the leaders hands and earn a strike to the head.

"Next challenger." He yells and shoves me out onto the hard ground.

I look in front of me.

I know this one.

We would share rations sometimes.

"Now!" The leader yells over the pouring rain.

I close my eyes waiting for an impact but it doesn't happen.

"I forfit." He says.

Instantly he is beaten by another older teenager.

"There is no giving up." The leader says and grabs my arm tightly.

He pulls me over to the boy.
