Sophia

As the car pulled up to Alexander's duplex, I couldn't help but feel a mix of anxiety and exhaustion. It was just past noon, and the sun was shining brightly, casting a warm glow over the grand property. The sleek lines of the modern house and the shimmering front pool screamed opulence, making me feel even more out of place.

I stepped out of the car, flanked by two of Alexander's imposing bodyguards. The grandeur of the place made my casual outfit seem even more incongruous. As we approached the front entrance, I tried to steady my nerves.

The massive mahogany door was polished to a high shine, and one of the bodyguards pressed the intercom. Moments later, the door swung open to reveal a neatly dressed maid.

"Ms. Sophia, please follow me. I'll show you to your room," she said with a polite nod.

I followed her down a long corridor, my footsteps echoing softly on the polished marble floor. The walls were adorned with elegant artwork, and a subtle scent of lavender filled the air.

She led me to a spacious bedroom, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the pool. The room was furnished with a plush bed, a sitting area, and tasteful decor that spoke of refined elegance.

"Please make yourself comfortable," the maid said, gesturing to the room. "If you need anything, don't hesitate to call."

I dropped my phone on the small cabinet near the bed and took a deep breath. The opulence of the room did little to ease the turmoil inside me. I decided a warm shower might help clear my mind.

I walked into the luxurious bathroom attached to the bedroom. The large shower had multiple jets, and the marble surfaces gleamed in the soft light. I adjusted the temperature, letting the steam build up as I undressed and stepped into the shower.

The warm water cascaded over me, and I closed my eyes, trying to let go of the stress and confusion. For a few moments, the noise of the outside world faded away, leaving only the soothing sound of the water and the gentle heat enveloping me.

When I finally stepped out, wrapped in a fluffy towel, I felt slightly more composed. I dressed in a simple robe provided in the bathroom and returned to the bedroom, hoping the shower had given me the clarity I needed.

As I exited , I noticed a Dior box placed neatly on the bed. My curiosity piqued, I walked over and opened it. Inside, I found a black satin babydoll dress, its delicate lace string tucked beside it. The final item was a long, flowing black robe, made from sheer fabric and finished with a silk belt.

I settled into the plush sofa in the living room, trying to distract myself from the whirlwind of emotions. The large flat-screen TV was tuned to "Friends," the familiar laughter and antics of the characters providing a comforting backdrop.

A tray of food had been set on the coffee table: a light Caesar salad, grilled salmon with a lemon-dill sauce, and a side of roasted potatoes. For dessert, there was a rich chocolate mousse.

As I ate, the comforting show and the delicious food helped to ease my anxiety, offering a brief moment of relaxation before the evening's uncertainties.

As the clock ticked toward 7 p.m., I heard the unmistakable sound of a luxury car pulling up outside. I moved to the window of my room and peeked through the curtains. I saw the headlights of the car illuminate the driveway before it came to a stop.

My heart raced as I anticipated Alexander's arrival. I stood in front of the mirror, smoothing down a stray lock of hair and checking my appearance. After making sure everything was in place, I took a deep breath and stepped away from the mirror.
