"Stay exactly where you are," said Jack as he pointed his sword at Clint.

"It's not like I'm going to go anywhere with a sword pointed at my neck," said Clint.

"Jack, no!" yelled Kate as she ran into the room. "What the hell is going on?" Eleanor said and was taken aback as she saw Clint. "And why is there an Avenger in my dining room?"

Peter snorted. "That's what I thought when Tony showed up at my apartment."

"This must be so weird from Eleanor's point of view," said Scott. "An Avenger just showed up at her house."

"May knows what that feels like," said Tony. He scratched the back of his head. "I should probably send her another apology gift."

"At least she knows who Clint is," said Wanda.

"I would be surprised if she didn't, considering her daughter is obsessed with him," said Natasha.

Jack put the sword down. "Oh, my God. You're... You're Archer."

Everyone erupted into peals of laughter while Clint looked exasperated.

"Hawkeye," Kate corrected and muttered it was the branding issue.

Natasha grinned. "She's correct."

"I'm going to work on your branding issue," said Tony.

"You need a hobby, Tony," said Clint. "Retirement is going to make you go insane. Trust me."

"Improving your branding is my hobby now. And besides, I'm going to be the best househusband ever."

Later, Clint, Kate, Eleanor, and Jack were sitting at the dining table. Kate said they were working on a case and needed to use the bathroom, so they dropped by.

Clint winced. "I don't think telling Eleanor that we were working on a case is the best idea."

"Yeah, you guys are working on a case involving Kate's mother and her fiancé murdering her fiancé's uncle," said Rhodey.

"Damn, this is going to be messy," said Sam.

"Working on a case together?" said Eleanor incredulously; at the same time, Jack said, "How terrific."

All of them snickered.

"I'd react the same way as Eleanor if some random Avenger showed up at my house and told me that my child was working on a case with them," said Scott.

Tony grimaced. "I need to send May a lot of apology gifts."

"To be fair, she thought I won a grant," said Peter.

"That doesn't make what I did any better, kid."

"He's my partner."

Clint snorted.

"We're not partners."

"Yes, you are," Everyone else said.

"Well, we're friends-slash-partners." "I wouldn't really describe us as friends."

"Yeah, I'd describe it as more of a mentor-protégé relationship," said Bruce.

"Someone used my laptop to sign onto my work account ten minutes ago. Any thoughts, Kate? Hawkeye?"

"As much as it pains me to say this, Bishop Security isn't completely useless," said Tony.

"And now Clint has Eleanor becoming suspicious because an Avenger visited her house at the same time she got a notification about someone using her laptop to sign in," said Natasha. "Eleanor isn't stupid. She's going to connect the dots, and that's dangerous."
