I want you to remember so you never forget,
I want you to treasure so you never regret:Something most important lives calm and benign--
Something most resilient lives strong and divine--
It creeps and crawls in sight always plain,
It sneaks and prowls in shawl always vain,
Never sad in expression but eternally crying--
Never bad in impression but eternally dying--
It rows so steady on boats and ships,
It flows so heavy on notes and slips,
Joining the most separate with the thickest of threads--
Joining the most desperate with the smallest of spreads--I tell you now so forget you do not,
I spell to you now so regret you do not:It causes the greatest responses when accepted and spouted out--
It creates the worst despondence when rejected and shot down--
Producing the highest nonchalance when small minds play pretend,
Generating the strongest renaissance for broken hearts on the mend,
It devises the craftiest of ploys for the most beneficial of outcomes--
It imagines the most unlikely of scenarios for the tallest of goosebumps--
Always waiting for a chance to shine like a shooting star,
Always praying for a romance to align like a repertoire,
It cares not the wars it has caused or the bridges it has rebuilt--
It spares not the drunk it has drowned or the joy it has spilt--Hiding and whispering for notice in its quiet corner,
Smiling and laughing in detention for its shameless disorder.And so I detail to you now so you never neglect;
And so I entrust to you now so you always reflect:
Out of all vices and activities, only in love are we truly free.
